    Removed the backseats from my access cab and built a platform that holds a dog bed.

    @Squirt

    That harness that your using may not be rated for your dogs weight! I have two 100 lb GS that ride in my access cab. They both have sleepypod harnesses,like @roundrocktom uses, that strap into the child seat tie downs. Rated by NHSTA with crash testing, to withstand crashing at higher speeds. They will even work in the front seats in a pinch.

    It is really amazing what even a 50 lb dog loose in the rear seat will do to you and the front seat in an accident! The seat just folds forward, and the rest is just bad.

    Modified access cab, our dog loves riding in the truck. Backseat in the Subie is used mostly.E139777B-7618-48B3-9CE4-ADD260483BC8.jpgFCE14CEE-151B-481D-BB88-6EC1DA414413.jpg

    This is the sizing chart for the harness I got him off the Kurgo website...

    All I have to do is reach for the bag of beef jerky and it brings my dogs around.

    Shit I found on CL or EBAY that I could screw on.
    For my dog, he rides in the back seat.
    For everyday, I have Rough Country seat covers and this hammock style cover. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0727Y5ZD7?ie=UTF8&th=1
    Since my dog has bear claws for nails, I took that cover to a luggage repair shop and had some seams reinforced and glued.
    For Road Trips I put him in a road master harness. and add a pillow.
    For Offroading I add a door protector https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07XY8WPFX?ie=UTF8
    and a piece of pipe insulation blue taped to the window.
    He loves offroading, but would hit his head all the time. He gets up just fine. I help him out because it's a long way down.

    I have two kids, so they occupy the back seat. Topper is perfect for the dog!

    I built this platform for the back in my double cab out of spare plywood and carpet remenants. Works great and the back tilts forward to access the storage cubby behind.
