I’m hoping the latest delays in shipments are because they are adjusting the shield cut to give more room next to the hose. I ordered last week and don’t mind waiting a bit if that’s the case. Current units are too close for comfort. I’d worry about the sharp metal edge rubbing the hose if I had my shield already.

edit: by hose I believe it’s the coolant line, to be more specific.

Does anybody have the bolt specs?… size/length/thread? Time to go fix the one I stripped, and address some rattling.

I like the 1/4 inch washer idea. I may have to give it a try.

I should also mention before this thread goes sour and gets locked that I was out cruising around for a few hours and totally forgot these shields were installed. No rattling after my minor adjustments.

Installed the shield December 6th, have driven about 300 miles since installation and I inspected the part of the hose closest to the shield today (about 3/8" clearance). No evidence of rubbing on the hose but I think this gap varies on every installation. I have not driven off-road but there are a couple of sizeable dips in the paved road on my daily commute where the suspension flexes significantly.

Ordered 11/24 and received on 12/29. Installed today and have noticed that the hose cutout has been updated to fit correctly with proper clearance. I still added some edge guard as a precaution.

However, like others have mentioned, the driver side shield contacts the heat shield of the cat. @CaliRaisedLed Hoping it won’t cause any issues or discoloration from the heat.

That’s good to hear the cutout has been adjusted! Hopefully mine will be the “new version” when it arrives too. For the shield contact I’m going to put a few washers in between the cat and shield like others have suggested to give it a little more space.

Just out of curiosity, would wraping the driver side catalytic converter with DEI exhaust wrap be an effective idea to stop the rattling?

from what I've read it's a bad idea to trap more heat in the cat

Thanks for the info. Washer route sounds like the better option.

installed the cali raised cat shields on saturday without any washers or modifications and there are no rattles, and there is plenty of room between the shield and the coolant lines on the passenger side...

I have mine since Dec and today for the first time I heard a rattle, while stop at the traffic light but it didn’t do it again. I’m thinking if the truck is leaning more towards the driver’s side it rattles. Hopefully Cali will figure something out and send spacers or washers for the first ones that got the product.

I've been waiting over a month for these and just cancelled my order. My neighbor had their Cats stolen last week so I made my own. They said 7-10 days.

When did you place your order? I ordered mine a month ago on 12/2. I got a text on 12/12 asking me to confirm that my truck was 4WD. When I asked when they would be shipping, they simply replied soon…
