Yeah occasionally it doesn't completely seat the first round of a mag and other times it's a random round after I've started past the first round. I thought this would mean I need a heavier spring because it is grabbing the round but not chambering it. If the bolt was closing with no round in the chamber then Id agree it would need a lighter spring but I don't think that's the case since it is grabbing and stripping just not chambering. Sometimes the bolt doesn't even go completely into battery while empty and I have to use the forward assist.

Can't help ya on springs as I've always been lucky enough to not need anything special. But for adjustable gas blocks, I've been trying out the aero precision ones and been happy enough with it. Worked fine fully open and then adjusting it down. Not changing things on it though after setting it.

Both my 308 and 300blk have ones too but I can't remember what brand they are. Want to say SLR ones but don't quote me on that.

What buffer/spring combo are you currently running?
If the round is being stripped from the mag but not fully chambering my first though is dirty/dry gun. But it could be a lack of spring pressure/inertia, you could try going heavier with the spring but you may run into short stroking, which if you’re running a heavy buffer you could try going lighter buffer with the heavier spring.

I'm running what came with the Aero lower and haven't messed with it as of yet, probably something mil-spec or close to it. I think I'll need an adjustable gas block no matter what cause if I mess with the springs I'll need to have different settings for suppressed vs unsuppressed. Running without a can could cause short stroking in my experience.

    Thanks for the help.

yeah, oil burns off really fast with the suppressor though which is why I've been trying more of the high temp grease

Thanks I'll check out Aero, my lower is an Aero and I've been happy with it.

Are you running 300 in a DI or piston?

The only input I can give is that I've run a Superlative Arms adjustable block and it works as advertised. Easily adjusted using a hex key down the front of the handguard

I've got a buddy running a Bowden Tactical one and he likes it...and it's quite a bit cheaper

I know the Aero one is popular but I've never run one and don't know anyone who does

FYI most of the prominent AGBs use set screws for tuning and get carbon locked after a little use. It’s not convenient to tweak with an Allen key every time you switch between suppressed and unsuppresed. What brand of upper do you have? Honestly I would stay way from AGBs are the other user has said and just try buffer/spring changes. Get it running well unsupressed and then add an H2/Sprinco blue/white for suppressed and see how that works.

Try making lube with synthetic oil and high temp grease, lube it heavily, and then run it.

What can are you running? I’m assuming an OSS/Huxworx can with you saying flow through.
I don’t own any of the flow through cans but I have my 11.5 and 13.9 tuned with buffer weight alone so they shoot smooth, eject well, and most importantly, are reliable whether they are suppressed or not, and I lube them with 5W30 synthetic.

It seems to be. A basic Milspec bolt catch works this just seems like it may be a little easier. I’ve tried the BAD lever and it works pretty good but it won’t work with all of my rifles so I left it off the one it was on when I changed the trigger. I figure this is worth a try

Santa brought me one and I'd go for it. I shoot lefty and I can now operate the bolt release with my trigger finger. If you are a righty I'd go with a BAD lever cause you wouldn't be able to reach the Maritime bolt catch with your Right thumb.

DI, i dont own any piston AR's.

As for carbon worry's....never had an issue with that but I also turn the screw every 500 rounds or so. Click or two one way then back to it's setting.

Its an option. Just up to you whether you want to go with tuning via springs/buffers or the agb route.

How thick are the slate black rail panels? The Larue ones I got are nice but make it feel like a quad rail which is fine but slimmer would be perhaps be more comfortable
