Last week, we were freezing our asses off. Today, I was running the A/C on the truck and thought that I need to check the refrigerant level. You can get to experience all 4 seasons in 30 days or less around here.

Every time I think about building and selling products, someone posts a thread that reminds me how much I’d hate to be a retail business owner.

My terms of service would specify that the customer needs to have the terms of service tattooed on their forearm before I will permit them to buy anything.

No but really, it's people I can't genuinely stand.

A whole lot of them, they're just all around bad, in every way that a person can be.

I'm not as selective of the people I'll do work for, but I'm always looking for red flags for sure.

Yeah. I’d be more willing to subcontract for a business. Less likely to have a problem, and it’s all covered by the contract anyway.

I work in business to business now and it’s fine. Customers can still get testy and give you headaches, but at the end of the day we’re pretty codependent.

Seeing some of the vendor blasting threads on here is enough to make me never want to sell retail

It’s gotten entirely out of hand. No wonder companies like google and Facebook don’t really even have customer support.

B2B is the way to go. Wholesale that shit and let them deal with retailing with idiots

Our company shut down the retail side of business and went solely B2B back in 2019, even despite Covid right after it's been doing great.

Of course the whole operation downsized a ton but that was primarily the people dealing with the stores and customer service that were no longer needed

As much as I despise bezos and his dick rocket building money machine, selling on Amazon feels like a decent middle ground these days, although admittedly I’ve never experienced it from the seller side. Seems like it’s overrun with shady operations from china, why not a not shady one from Missouri?

Yeah we do a good chunk of retail through Amazon too, not sure how well it pays back in but it's good exposure for the brand if nothing else.

Reminds me I have to redesign our Amazon storefront fuck
