I have a 2021 Tacoma TRD Sport, was pulling a wire through the firewall for an accessory curcuit and once complete, no front left turn signal. I checked, swapped bulbs front left to right and the bulb is good. The turn signal is flashing fast and the left rear works. I think I have checked all the fuses and they seem good, getting no voltage to the front left.

I believe when pushing a wire through the firewall I may have cut/punctured the wire to the turn signal. How do I check by bypassing? What else should I be looking for. I am mechanical, but struggle reading wiring schematics, but will try to understand. Need some help here.

It is very possible that a wire was damaged.

What did you use to push the wire through and where?

    Oh look, another mod....
Flashing fast means (possibly) two things:

    1) The bulb is bad/out.
    2) Wiring is damaged.

Put the old bulb in and test it. If it still flashes fast, you damaged the wire.

@caribe makaira may be able to help with getting you a wiring diagram to help you out.

Bulb is good, so I was pushing a wire through the main wiring area of the firewall. So if I damaged the wire, there is no way to get access to it. Can I pull a replacement wire and tie into the bulb/relay?

Well I am betting I damaged the wire, so what easy options do I have of either finding the wire or replacing that wire?

I pushed through with a sharp piece of wire. Under the dash left of the steering column, there is cluster of wires running through a rubber boot. I pushed through the boot and must have punctured the wire. I appreciate your help so hopefully this clarifies for you.

    Thank you.
That helps some of the other member to look at wiring diagrams.
Go to that harness and see if you can push it or pull it enough to spread the bundle apart and look for damage.

No way to "spread" the wires, they are encased in rubber. Part of the boot. That is why there's a tit below huge grommet, to run new wire.

Connector IA2 (behind Driver's side kick panel) from rear is direction to wire bundle. So posi-tap it and run additional wire to turn bulb connector (Left) through the lower tit under the firewall wire bundle.

P.S. Insulate the ripped wire in the bundle. Liquid tape.

Guys, thanks! the post with the drawings for the wire location and pin number were very helpful. Ran a new wire from the connector to the left turn signal and it now works.

Thanks to all for helping. Saved me a ton of time and money. Lesson learned, be careful when pushing wire through the firewall.

Just don't do it. Especially through the main wire bundle grommet
