Did you ever mount the Diode Dynamic lights in the Warn bumper?
I have been looking at getting this bumper and wanted to do the exact same thing as you.

Cannot wait to get these installed :) Have some time off work now. Planning to install once I cut the holes for the flush mounted pods and mount the winch.

Got my lights mounted. It was a huge pain in the a$$ to cut the angled corners for the flush mounted pods. Also installed a flip up license plate hinge and cut a hole behind the plate to access the winch. Install should be happening this week :bananadance:

    That looks awesome
Unfortunately my Warn bumper was damaged during shipping and I returned it to get a Fab Fours hidden winch bumper instead.
I liked that the d-ring mounts on the Fab 4 are recessed. And that the light bar mounts on the bumper are horizontal so I can bolt a strip of steel between the 2 mounts and have 2 pairs of 6" road legal light bars, 2 fogs and 2 driving lights. Might even use 2" aluminum angle and cut rectangles for each light to sit flush against to get a nice seamless fit like you have.
Plus eventually when I decide on a winch it already has the cut outs.
But you do have to cut the plastic on the truck, like all the other bumpers, fortunately the bumper goes over the cut so you don't have to do a good job lol.

It has crossed my mind. It wouldn’t be too difficult. I would make mine with tubing. I want it to be similar to the SSO slimline tube

Just installed mine with an X20 gen3 12k winch; originally ordered a Warn Evo 8S but all of their Evo winches are pretty back ordered. The gen3 X20 has some cool features, including a wireless control. The clutch and power button can easily be reached through the grill. Installation of the bumper was fairly simple, I did not remove any grill components, I did cut the chin strap. The stamped steel braces on the aluminum crash bar can just be bent by hand in order to get the crash bar out. I bolted the winch to the bumper on the ground and lifted it into place with a buddy. I wouldn’t do this alone! Just to help add data points for folks researching suspension sag: the truck is on Kings with new 650lb springs which are still breaking in, but at 7 threads driver and 5 threads passenger it measured 24 1/4”, intentionally set high just prior to installing the bumper. It’s now sitting at 23 3/4” hub to fender. I anticipate it will fully settle to 23 1/2”. I have full length aluminum skids, steel gas tank skid and rock sliders.

Is there anyway to access your controller plug and freespool without opening the hood?
I looked at these when shopping but from what I could find there was no access.
I ended up with a greenlane aluminum with a smitty x20 and I'm glad I opted for somthing with easy access.

No and that is exactly why I cut a hole into mine. I modified mine quite a bit to make it work for me. I got a sweet deal on it that I couldn’t turn down

Always a way to make it work when the price is right. Looking forward to seeing it mounted up

I can access the freespool and power switch from the grill but have to open the hood to access the controller plug. As long as the remote control is charged up everything can be done without opening the hood.

Anyone who knocks aluminum just hasn’t done their research on 6061 or 5052. 1/4” of either will stand toe to toe with 1/8” steel. I have a 5x9 square drop offroad trailer built entirely of 6061, it’s a beast and weighs around 1000lb!

Finally got my bumper and winch installed!!! Welded on some SOS off-road concepts plates to reinforce the frame and used the included larger/longer bolts. Then used Backwoods Adventure Mods frame braces to tie the bumper into the sway bar mounts.

Currently working on welding up a plate to cover the gap between the bumper and my skid plate. I was worried about a stick coming up and going through my rad

Looks sweet. What’d you trim the edges with? It seems to make the “mount over bumper” more subtle
