You don’t need a permit in Tennessee.
I paid $200 for a “Lifetime permit” and 1 year later they abolished the permit.
We are now a constitutional carry state.

No, I didn’t get my money back either.

TN removed the requirement to have a license for concealed carry. Anyone legal to carry a firearm can concealed.

I hope they deem it unconstitutional for states to nitpick what guns are illegal and what guns aren't; I personally think that anything which isn't fully automatic should be legal for anybody who is not a convicted felon to own.

I recommend a good belt and holster.
But I see them stuffed in waist bands daily.

    Seriously, no one cares here.
When I carry, I carry concealed, for the sole purpose of not being stopped by other people to “talk about guns”. :rofl:Those conversations are never short.

If you are 18+ and in the military, you are GTG as well. No need to be 21.

Tennessee is good to it’s veterans. The easiest way to get your ass kicked is disrespecting women, children, older folks (elderly) and military veterans. You don’t do that here.

Since we are on the subject of firearms.
Even though my user name is TnShooter.

It actually isn’t geared towards traditional power burning firearms.
I was really big into air rifles and shooting field target.
I was active years ago in on an air rifle forum and I’ve just kept the same username for all the rest.

Take my advice, never venture over in to airguns.
It’s addicting, and can get waayyyy more expensive than other firearms.

In other news, our microwave is shitting the bed. The house was built in late 2015-early 2016, and the microwave was installed at that time. It is a GE, built into the wall directly above the oven. Our old house was built in 2007, and it had a similar setup with the oven and microwave built into the cabinet. However, that was a GE Profile (rather than just a standard GE), and it was combined into one unit. It never gave us any trouble, and I think that's a good thing, because the whole $3,000 unit likely would to have been replaced.

In this case, my dad believes he can get a nearly identical microwave for less than $500; I am still a little bit pissed, and surprised, because I've heard of microwaves lasting a decade or two. As stated above, our microwave is only about 7 years old, and it just suddenly started doing this. The clock won't stay on, and it didn't warm my chicken thoroughly at dinnertime on Sunday night. The lightbulb that is supposed to stay on when the door is open flickers sometimes, looking ominously like a flame.

I literally screamed at dad on Sunday night because he saw the flashing light and thought there was a fire. I was trying to heat my dinner that didn't get properly heated the first time, and my dad was next to me repeatedly telling me to move; I knew that the microwave was on fire and got triggered by my dad repetitively telling me to move.

Older ones did last a long time, sadly little made today does.

Ours (just a countertop unit, nothing special) croaked after 5 years.

My parents have owned three houses in Pennsylvania and two houses in Virginia since 1990, and all but one of those houses has had a built-in microwave. For some strange our house in Virginia Beach, which was built in 1996 and only two years old when my parents bought it, had a ventilation hood above the range but no microwave. It wasn't even one of those elegant ones that's hidden within the cabinetry like our current house has. It was just a standard cheap metal one. As such, we had to get a countertop microwave and sacrifice crucial counter space.

That was a nice house, but it had a lot of cheap touches, especially in the kitchen. It didn't have a microwave, and even though it had gas heat, it had not only had an electric stove but a hideous coil-burner stove. It had a gas fireplace and even a laundry chute, but the builder couldn't be bothered to put in a microwave or at least get a smoothtop range!

Yeah, but it's no big deal do replace a countertop microwave; I can't recall us ever having to replace a built-in one. We had to replace the dishwasher in our house in Northern Virginia, which my dad and uncle were able to do without outside help. It looked funny because the new dishwasher was stainless steel, the fridge was white and from 1998, and the stove and microwave were original to the house (which was built in 1989). That house needed a total redo of the kitchen in the worst possible way, especially since the stove was the old school beige bisque color and had coil elements (again, this was strange because the house had gas heat).

I prefer countertops. They are easier to replace:rofl:

Mostly it’s because the stupid wall mount back plates are never the same.
Which means I have to take the old one down and drill more screws into the wall.
And forget about the holes in the top aligning with the old ones too. Never happens.
