After having lots of trouble with DD products, and keeping in mind that Baja Designs does not have the proper cutoff, I always recommend Rigid. The 360 and D series are both good, and I prefer them in yellow. They’re not super bright, but they are a fog light and aren’t supposed to be. They are very good quality which is what I care about more than anything.

Not sure if it was answered these were the parts that I bought: 9008087206 Fog Light Relay, 8211404010 Wire Engine harness, 5212804020 Left fog light trim and 5212704020 Right fog light trim, 9016750063 Tapping Screws and if you are going to keep it OEM 841400R010 Switch Assembly, Headlamp Dimmer. I kept everything OEM and went with the TRD Pro Fog Lights.

I’m about to attempt this with my 23 TE. I read the Nitori write up stickied in the Mods for 3rd Gens and it referenced the same parts except the stalk. It listed an 841400R020 instead of the 010. I think one is for a truck with Auto headlights (as mine is). I want to try to get my local dealer to install the stalk as I REALLY don’t want to mess with the airbag in the steering column. The wiring harness in the bumper area and the relay are no biggie. I plan to go with DD or BD amber led fogs as opposed to factory ones. I think the white lights look better but the amber fogs will do a better job BEING fog lights. I want things to look good but not at the expense of their utility. Function over form, as it were.

I went with the DD SS3 Pro fogs and have had zero issues with them. I have them aimed properly and secured so they won't move during driving. Amber backlight is a nice touch as well. I'm big on not blinding people and avoiding head-on collisions.

I had the same question but the 020 is the one for our trucks so you can keep your auto headlights. Also I’m 70 years old and taking the stalk out is not a big issue. The good thing is there are no clamps holding it at the end is easier than what you might think. But if you want to take it to the dealership totally understand. If you decide to do it yourself just keep track of the order of how things go. Good luck.

Doesn't need them. On the side without screws there is slots that the bracket slips into, then just the one screw on the other side holds them in place.

Also if you get fogs with a backlight you can get a plug & play harness from FBC for the backlight

Dealer quoted me an hour to swap out stalk ($149). Their part price was $149 on stalk, $82 on wiring harness and $27 for relay. I’m going to let them do the stalk for sure. I’ll order the led fog pods from wherever and then get them to order the stalk (they had the other two items on hand). Service guy was cool when I told him what I was doing. Some dealers aren’t that laid back. Some would want the (a) VIN just to order the part. Luckily these people are much easier to deal with. Springhill Toyota in Mobile Alabama. Where I bought the truck and several other vehicles over the years.

I also asked about getting the transmission fluid level checked and they told me when I come in for my first 5k service to tell them I thought it might be shifting oddly and they would check it then. Great place to do business in my experience.

Back in November I paid 18 for the Fog Relay, 54 for the wiring harness and 115 for the 020 stalk. See if you can find a better price online for parts and see if they would do the installation only. Or just have them do it all.

I’m sure I could. Bad manners to buy the part somewhere else and ask them to install it (imho). I worked in Parts and Service for years in the John Deere business so I may have a slightly different perspective on buying local. These people will be warranting (or not) issues I have going forward. Shipping on the harness and relay might account for some of the difference in those parts as well. I’m just glad they’re being easy to get along with on my asking them to change a factory part. I’ve met plenty of dealer service personnel who weren’t nearly this accommodating.

Now I’ve got to decide what brand/style fogs to go with. Next up is a Rough Country folding hard tonneau cover (place I work is a RC dealer so I get a break on them price wise). Window tint and ceramic coating the paint will be the only other items I’ll do before summer. I’ve spent money leading up to and during hunting season it’s about bled me dry.

what lights are you going with?

We will be doing a free upgrade program for all the older generation Squadron SAE lights. The details on this will be released when the light is fully released.

I can tell you my 2022 Trail worked by installing the parts listed. I installed the Diode Dynamics SS3 pros.

I'm about to do the same with my 23 Trail. Looking at the go by part list that's been posted. For the trail, my trucks pre wired (checked behind the column) and there are wire harness for the fogs behind where the fogs to in the front bumper. Did you find you needed all the listed parts or for the trail edition are some of the parts already present? Thanks, I'm pretty handy and love DIY but I have a hard time putting it all together in my mind beforehand lol

    The list:

    Right fog lamp: 81210-08020
    Left fog lamp: 81220-08020
    Installation screws x2: 90167-50063
    Right fog lamp cover: 52127-04020
    Left fog lamp cover: 52128-04020
    Engine bay harness: 82114-04010
    Fog lamp relay: 90080-87026
    Turn signal stalk switch: 84140-0R020

SR5s come with fog lights. The trail editions don't?
