So are we driving the trail from Wyalusing to Potosi and then back up to camp on Saturday?

No. We usually run up to Lansing Iowa in the morning, and take the trail back down to Potosi from there. Then, after having dinner at Potosi, we head back to camp.

I managed to snag site 147. Wife said she is coming along. (I'll believe it when it happens)

After I mentioned no running water, my wife graciously bowed out of this one, so it'll just be me. I have plenty of room on site 155 if anyone wants something closer to the shelter or is hopping in last minute.

Also don't have anything bolt on in the works but have plenty of tools to spare for mod day if needed. Looking forward to seeing you guys either way!

Have you been able to find the pics of the version that doesn't require the frame cross-member to be cut off? I looked at these before and thought I remembered seeing them. I just don't remember if the exposed crossmember ends up being the lowest part.
Just one guy’s thoughts, but if the crossmember is exposed from the bottom, or exposed from behind, it might be a little too minimalist. Again, just my thoughts.

The factory hitch is the lowest point and stays in place, so it really doesn't give you any increase in departure angle. The corners of the bumper are quite a bit higher than stock, and can tolerate a decent hit. The exposed, naked cross member looks kinda cheesy. Would be nice to find plugs for the holes.

Somehow I lost notifications on this thread and missed like the last 4 pages of stuff. Count me in for Wyalusing in April, I booked site 141 too.

Might join in to that Illinois Overlanders trip on 1/15, February snow run depends on weather and would be last-minute decision. Other events too far off yet but still in my mind.

Nice! See you in April, if not before. My notifications get weird sometimes, too.

Wow, yeah, that’s much more exposed than I remember. It might be hard to judge from this pic since it looks like it’s not quite the finished product, but it technically looks more like sliders for the rear quarter panels. I’d be interested to see what the quarter panel protection ties into for strength since it’s not relying on any additional bracing from the plates that would otherwise cover the crossmember on the typical plate bumper.

I wanna see some forklift drop videos like 4x innovations lol :D

FYI - If anyone is planning to join that Illinois Overlanders event on 1/15 from Lowden State Park, the route they are taking heads all the way west to the Mississippi. Found out by commenting on the IG post, figured it would be good to know where it ends up for travel/timing. Based on the headings I am going to pass on that trip.

Good to know. Is anyone from the group looking at going? I'm on the fence if I will go or not.
Meets at 9am which means an early drive.

Where’s you family at in Florida. I’ve paddled a bunch of the Calusa Blueway trail. You can never see to many mangroves.

Pine Island. Unfortunately, the mangroves are bare right now, but starting to make a comeback. It's been wild observing the amount of destruction nature is capable of.

Here's a picture of some naked mangroves, and a boat that would up on in the woods after the storm.
