    Tacoma 2020 trd sport 4x4
    Hello guys!

i have a tacoma 2020 trd sport 4x4 and i want to do a conversion (some parts) to OR versión. Before say anything in my country they Don’t sell OR or Pro just sport. Therefore i started this project.

i install overhead console parts and cool thing was as soon i install the parts the lights came up . This mean is all prewired? Anyways my cúrrente ECU 4wd is 89533-04060 and i replace it with 89533-04070 (OR version) and some lights in the Dashboard came up. at this point i saw on YouTube a gx460 did this by only installing switches amd ECU and 4runner adding switchings, ECU and Dashboard (Don’t know why). But when i did same i had the code for open coil/motor of the elocker (i Don’t have it) . So my questions are :

Can you help me to show were the elocker harness is connected below? I know is
82127-04201P/N and ends in the rear diff, but were is connected the other part? I know that at some point end on 4wd ecu , but i mean below the car current connections.

and second questions is my third member is 3.909? With
    41110-0K630 P/N.

i know that ARB lockers are better and i know crawl/mts for some terrains are useless. But i really trying to keep OEM parts and do this on my own. So any help is welcome guys

Will the OR MTS features even work without having the electronic brake booster?

The key component of a OR swap like this, is the electronic brake master cylinder to supply the ABS with the power it needs to hold constant enough pressure on the wheels to get MTS or crawl control to function properly. Without that e-master cylinder, NOTHING ELSE WILL WORK. It cost about $1,000 too, unless you can find one from a junk yard.
I also have a 21 Sport 4x4 and have done extensive research on "how to" convert to an offroad (I really just want A-TRAC). It is very expensive and with the amount it costs you could just add air lockers and be done with it. The standard TRAC on all tacoma 4x4 models is actually a pretty stout system, and I've seen sr5's in off-camber situations transfer power to the tire on the ground when needed without much fuss. Tapping the brakes helps quite a bit.

I'd recommend just learning how to drive your Sport as is. It's not going to be cheap to ship an OEM E-master cylinder to you if they aren't available in your country.

Edit: yes your ratio is 3:91, unless it's a manual. all Manual are 4:30, as well as all E-Locker rear dif (OR & Pro)

I’m confused what your goal is. It sounds like you want to convert a Sport into an OR without a OEM rear locker and A-TRAC/MTS/CC. This doesn’t make much sense to me. What parts of the the OR do you want?

I don’t think that’s true. I have read that the 4.3 came with trucks that have the manual transmission or the rear locking differential.

the Off Road auto's absolutely do have the larger diff and axles running 4:30. All the e-locker diffs are the same, whether mated to an auto or a manual.

Aren’t the rear ends of the sport (auto) and OR different too? Not just the gear ratios?
Edit: it looks like it was bought up while I was composing this post

I think you guys are mistaken. The offroads and Pros do have the larger diameter rear differential but they are still 3.91 ratio gears in the automatics.

I might has misspoke. I meant that I had read the 8.75” diff comes with the trucks with the manual transmission or the rear locker. I’m unsure about the gear ratio in 8.75” diffs with an automatic transmission and a rear locker.
