dang, would have grabbed that on the way to bend. Had to drive my sick brother back home to the Tri-Cities so we had a big detour going home.

 

Off topic but, anybody know of a good place to get your driveshaft balanced near Seattle? Might have messed up mine when replacing my carrier bearing

 

Always had good luck with nw drivelines in Everett. I’ve heard some people have bad experiences but they have done all my taco work and it’s been good.

 

I've called the Seattle and Everett location like 5 times now and nobody answered. I'm not sure I can drive it very far either. The vibe is definitely noticeable above 35mph

 

Most sane people align their u joint zerks maybe start there if you didn’t paint mark it. I’m assuming your not clocked in your splines correctly.

 

Remove the driveshaft and put it in 4wd

 

Select driveshaft in your Bluetooth settings and try it wirelessly.

100% I marked the splines to the yoke when I got the nut off, my dad went in to clean the splines and when I went to reinstall everything, my reference point was gone. I made a mark on the yoke itself to the driveshaft but it clearly wasn't good enough

 

i drove 8 hours from Moab back to Colorado Springs in front wheel drive and the only issue i had was torque steer

 

Valid. I'm assuming I'll have to take off the driveshaft to get it balanced anyway

 

it was only sketchy when pulling out into traffic a few times when i got into boost. i dinged up the drive shaft pretty good and didnt feel like having a massage for 8 hours driving back

 

roger, or try to find a cheap used one. Or see if anyone’s got one you can borrow.

 

Unfortunately I don't have to deal with boost at all. Just a lameo 4.0

 

I use a cold chisel and hammer to make a little hash mark then put little paint dot so it’s easier to see.
