I missed the one on the double yellow line... I smashed the F#&k out of the on that popped up over the hill on the shoulder of the road. Had it been a fawn, I'd of probably nocked the spots off of it.

    It didn't buff out.

Wired up the "Big 7" kit from JeepCables. Purchased 0 gauge and realized that was far too thick but oh well jammed it in anyways. Need to wrap the wire and find some loom but it works. Not clean but functional, one day it'll get cleaned up (never).

Bled the brakes, bolted up the shocks and elocker motor. Need to replace one (probably both) wheel cylinders because it started leaking under pressure

Removed one of the power outlets and installed a usb/usb-c pd charger in its place. Moved the passenger airbag switch to where the clock was. Add a block off plate for where the passenger airbag switch was and mounted a magsafe wireless fast charger on it.

go OME. My 4Runner has them and it rides great! Nice that I don’t have to rebuild them like my kings on the Tacoma

310D21DE-83D3-4A54-8E5D-70BD60052F9F.jpg Saw a link in the 2nd Gen thread about the $50 Rustoleum paint job. I’ve been wanting to paint the truck or wrap it. I read the article and went deep into a rabbit hole of information on painting with that paint. I went to the automotive paint store to see how much the factory green paint would be. I was quoted $800-$1000 for the paint materials alone. I decided to give the Rustoleum a shot. I figured if it doesn’t work then I can prime it and then wrap it this spring. There are some flaws in the paint job, but overall I think it has turned out pretty decent. I have 1 more coat to apply tomorrow afternoon and then I’ll polish it in 2-3 weeks. This route only coat $48 in paint. Not bad for a daily driver/beach toy.

Interesting, I didn't like the OMEs on my 4Runner, seemed like way too stiff a ride. Much preferred the Blllstiens (when I had them) on the Tacoma. Obviously a combination of the shocks and springs though, so I don't know if just the shocks would have been OK...

Also, I guess you don't have to rebuild them, but the tradeoff is that you have to replace them, since they aren't rebuildable. It's not like they just last forever. ;)
