We watched a movie called "Georgetown" from 2019. It's interesting because it's really just odd. You don't really like any of the characters but damn that dude, wow.
    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Watched the latest 1923. ALMOST gave up! The lines (epi 3)......who wrote this shit? Terrible. ALMOST gave up, but the last 10-15 minutes are probably worth it.

What really bothered me was both the young 1923 female leads coming off as worthless (but magnificent eye candy). Blondie, “I’m scared quit your job”. Barbie, “ Help, help” I’m too helpless to grab the reins of the run away wagon.

I just watched three episodes from Black Mirror which were recommended to me by a co-worker. Did not like one bit.

Does anyone have a sci-fi/space related series, movie or short film I should check out?

    Thank you.
Not a fan of Dune but I’ll check out the other ones. Saw some of the Expanse and did watch Dust on YouTube.

The new Dune movie was actually not bad. Much better than the original I think, even though Patrick Stewart isn't in it.

‍♀️ Blondie is in the back wagon as it is running away. The scene has her waving her hands shouting for help. They don’t show her incapacitation until they get back to the ranch. They could give the character, more character by heroically climbing over the front seat and pulling the reins.

Watch closely - pretty sure it shows her shot and bleeding before the horses spook

Exactly. DiCaprio produced this. Darn fine. Wait until you get up to the Texas and California stuff.
Just things I had zero idea happened.
Kearny and Kit Carson - wow.

There are other similar series, I am going to watch those.

The only thing I remember about the original was my father telling me the book was better. I have fond memories of the miniseries on the sci-fi channel, although I don't really remember much about that either.
I didn't think much of the new movie. Maybe it was the world building or character development. It didn't seem to have much depth to me. The story was rather meandering. Things happened for the sake of plot progression, without any real explanation. And then it just ended.
And Partick Stewart wasn't even in it.

    HBO.

It's a weird one. A very bizarre, cerebral, slow burn. And yet, I enjoyed it. It's a thinker.

If you liked that, check out In Bruges. Same director and main actors. One of my favorite dark comedies.

Bruges is a good movie. Also a cool place to visit if you ever get the chance.
