Kids are brutally honest and have zero tolerance for abnormal stuff because they haven't experienced enough outside of what they typically see. So you get questions... Sometimes direct questions.

The best part is it’s by hunter’s point, the area of San Francisco no one will develop because it’s highly contaminated and radioactive from its use as a shipbuilding area during WWII.

Yeah and people are usually totally cool with it understanding that its coming from a completely innocent place...it's the parent's reaction and response though that the focus shifts to. Usually it's a laugh-off scenario unless it's something really inappropriate.

How far fetched does the Death Valley trip sound still?

Did a ton of maintenance kind of in preparation for this, just need to finish my swingout.

I dunno how possible it'll be, but if it was over a three day holiday weekend and used a Monday I could probably make it happen.

I have a big birthmark on the back of my calf that when I wear shorts, attracts a lot of attention from kids. Gotten a few questions, and even some kid that ran up and poked it.
That took me by surprise to say the least.

Yeah kids are quick to point out differences or things they aren't familiar with everyday...if a toddler points out someone looks different than them it's totally fine because you know they don't mean anything malicious by it, but if the parent doesn't use that as a teaching moment or worse reinforces it then they're just passing that torch along and the cycle goes on

I need to get the taco together and put some miles on it to be confident in wheeling it again... I saved the vacation time but I need to find out if they're going to let me use it. We're up shit creek at work lol

We could all fly to your house for a weekend at the spa :p

Honestly making it happen in February is looking awfully difficult for me with our family Oregon trip to see my dad and brother and the rest we didn't see for the holiday

I know you are up against the clock with the baby coming though and I definitely want to do some kind of camping trip even if it has to be a smaller undertaking than a DV one. We gotta make something happen to cheers farewell to your future free time haha.

Whatever we do I will likely have to bring Dex along because I don't think Rebecca will be on board with me leaving her alone for a few days with him and Sofia haha. Dude is like having a toddler around in a lot of ways

So rule out national parks I guess, they're not allowed... Unfair really, if anything toddlers should be barred from the parks, they ain't gonna remember anyway :p

You're not far from DV, either of you. If I lived that close I'd be there every weekend
