Hoping one of y'all can help me out. I'm looking for a radiant floor heating product I saw once on an episode of This Old House. It installed under the subfloor, from the underneath.

Does anyone know who makes it?

Grouting tile takes a lot more effort than the youtube videos make it seem. Also, why is it that the small 1 qt buckets of premix don't allow you to fit a grout float in them? Im guessing whoever marketed that product never actually installed tile. Shoulve been a square bucket vs round.

I didnt need much, two of the 1 qt buckets was the perfect amount. First time doing it so I figured the premix wouldnt allow me to screw up the consistency.

A little bit of progress made on the house. Got the vapor barrier put down and also got all the rusty galvanized and corroded copper supply pipes replaced with Uponor and new shutoff valves. Rerouted the toilet supply lines thru the floor instead of the wall. Still have a good bit to do but this is a step in the right direction.

Vapour barrier looks good , not sure how far you're trying to go with it but if you want it to work 100% you should tape the seams and edges

Nice work. I need to put a vapor barrier down in our crawl space. Which is an actual "crawl" space, so I've been putting it off forever haha. Could I ask, what barrier did you use? I know next to nothing about vapor barriers.

The seams are mostly taped up but I do intend to go back and tape the edges

I’ll try to get the actual info for you tomorrow. But I do know it’s a 10mil vapor barrier

I love mine. Have used it for multiple jobs with several different varieties of tile including mesh backed mosaic, glass, and porcelain. Well constructed. I have not used it for stone. For that I have been using a grinder with a diamond blade.

Ever so slightly seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Got a coat of primer on the lowers yesterday and got a coat of paint on today. Also while I had the oil primer out I primed the ceiling to cover up the years of nicotine. My house stunk pretty damn bad after all that primer  Got the first coat of ceiling paint on today as well. They definitely changed the Benjamin Moore #258-01 Muresco Ceiling White. Not near as good as it used to be. I'd'a been better off with the contractor line of Valspar (2000?) at half the price. Oh well, lesson learned earlier on.

Also picked up another set of saw horses so no more kneeling on the ground!

Before putting the AC vent covers back on, they needed a coat of paint. You can see how nasty they were in this side by side.

Second coat of paint on the lower cabinets and ceiling. Next weekend I hope to prime and paint the walls.

nothing major, just got tired of looking at the spare bedroom as a junk collector.

only took me 4 years to clean it up, unroll the rug, build the bed frame, and put sheets on the bed...

If you're planning on doing a lot of jobs with it I'd spend the extra and get a sliding table model like this:
    https://www.lowes.com/pd/Kobalt-7-in-1-6-Wet-Tabletop-Sliding-Table-Tile-Saw-with-Stand/1000760328

I'd buy the Kobalt over the Ridid because of the splash protection. Also not sure how thick stacked stone is so may not be an issue. My 7" saw struggled with 2" thick pavers. There just isn't enough blade to do the job. The thing about tile saws is once you have one jobs for it just seem to pop up.
