If the connection to the evap box is solid then yes.

When you accidentally pulled the entire drain plug out did water run down the inside of your cab?

Your floor/carpet will be wet in the passenger foot well.

That’s as far as the black piece will go and there was no water in the passenger floorboard. I pulled the carpet back and checked

From inside the cab/passenger side you should be able to visually verify that the black drain tube is securely fastened to the evaporator box.

This sounds like what I am experiencing !
I have most recently discovered a wet and stinky seatbelt and I plan to check into sealing up the roof rack holes a bit more. At this point its been raining too much to take care of it . Going to take a look once it drys out.

I was able to carefully pull back the rubber seal around the doors that held the headliner and trim in place to inspect for the water. Be careful though, the airbags are right there along the edge of the headliner and down the A pillar. Once I saw water and where the water had been, I loosened up my roof rack and packed some butyl tape under the foot of rack and then re-tightened up the rack. When I first installed the rack I had siliconed everything up but that didn't stay sealed but the butyl tape seems to be working.

Next is remove the seats and carpet . Make sure everything is dry. Close everything, spray the whole truck Doing a water leak test. Check window seals and body seal. Sounds like water mold smell . Does the glass fog up inside of vehicle sitting in the sun? Good luck!
