Man this place is a ghost town anymore.

 

We know three different Maccas franchisees and they’ve all states that trying to prop up a store in a major metropolitan area is a ballache because you have to far enough away from an existing store and deal with zoning, business licenses, and citizens that don’t want you near their neighborhood. All of them find rural communities as close as possible to interstates or high traffic state highways and when they make their pitch to get permission they always talk about the creation of jobs and the tax revenue to the community. Then they have to own the land and they have to kick down almost 2.5 million for the franchise, construction, training, and specialized equipment.

An existing Maccas franchise can cost at least 500k plus whatever the current owner is willing to sell it for. Are they profitable enough to make the investment worthwhile? One of the afore mentioned families owns six Maccas stores which I reckon is a solid indicator that it’s worth it even factoring in the cost of the broken soft serve machines.

Well uh.... The engine's out of it. And in pieces. Prepping for machining. Also needs a few things.... Floors. Radiator support. Front and rear bumpers. One cab mount. 2 bed mounts. Glass. A dash. Probably brakes, deff fluids. And who knows what else.

It was practically free though
