I’m almost finished with a custom bracket I’ve designed for mounting a Midland MXT575 beneath the drivers seat. I’ve given thought to offering them for sale but I have my doubts about the demand for such a specific bracket. I’ve also considered offering a blank bracket for those who would like to mount ham radios or small amps such as the Kicker Key. I’m not yet sure if it will fit 2020+ models with power seats. Anyways, let me know if you’d be interested. The production bracket would be powder coated and include mounting hardware for a clean/easy install with no drilling. This is not a for sale add. I’m only trying to decide if this project is worth giving a try. Here are a few pics of my latest prototype.

do you have pictures of how it mounts under the seat?

tac-o-tunes has a bracket that mounts between the seat bolts, it's $110, not including shipping/taxes. most just fab their own because it's somewhat steep.

your bracket looks to include a lot of bends, which would raise the price for the working time. imo, i don't think there's much of a market beyond $50 for such a product.

overall, i personally don't see a huge demand for such a bracket, i've never gotten the impression that tac-o-tunes is selling those mounting plates in droves, as very few installs ever use them.

I don’t have any pics yet. Once I get it back from powdercoat I will post more info and pictures. It’s super easy to mount and doesn’t interfere with the seat adjustment. I don’t have pricing figured out just yet but I can tell you it’s closer to the $50 mark. If I bring these to market, I will likely offer blank brackets and the user can drill the mounting holes for their amp, radio, etc.

My current bracket is 7” wide x 7 5/8. It will fit items up to about 2 1/4 tall.

I maybe interested. I plan to install a 5ch amp with a line output converter box, so more than likely need a larger tray than what you have. I am interested to see how you will mount it under the seat. Please keep us updated. Thanks
