If BG products weren't such a pain to get, I'd have many. I've tried to get induction kits a dozen times and it's always a production.

Most importantly, does the rear fog work now?

A little of both. The switch has a position for a rear fog. There's probably coding and/or wiring involved to get it to work. Maybe even a bulb replacement. Or worse, taillight assembly replacement. I know you can screw with the rear lighting schema through coding, but that's all I know.

Nah. GTI had mostly bolt-on Euro-spec stuff. I did do the LED tail lights from the Golf R and then got the rear fog working. That required VCDS. Rest of it was playing with the seatbelt chime, lightning schemes and a few other things like fob control of the windows and sunroof. The Passat was too old for much coding.

Decided to just buy the Carista module and pair to my phone since it’s the most cost effective option vs Rosstech unlimited for $650 and OBD11

    going to enable:

    • hatch pop
    • Sweeping dials on startup
    • Lock car with fob while engine running
    • A bunch more
also, today while it was still mild out I installed my 3rd car related Xmas gift which is a Turbo Muffle delete.

Zip tie on the charge pipe was clutch

    Comparison
    AF32E351-1DF0-4B64-B7D4-0600062786E0.jpg

overall improvement I noticed was more turbo noise and I swear it feels like it pulls a smidge harder. It’s cold out so that’s likely what it is.

Fairly easy install, just tedious with large hands in a small space, and my turbo outlet gasket not wanting to stay in place initially either lol

    honestly worth it

I did one of those on a car. S3 maybe. I can't remember. Lots of choice words were said.

Unitronic vs APR tune debate currently going down

gonna get my haldex serviced and carbon buildup removed from AP tuning here locally.

might be the last work done to the car before the dad wagon becomes a REAL dad wagon
