This sucks for sure. Not to wish ill on anyone, but this is the shit we usually absorb. In fact, just last week...

we do have a lot of plants that need watering with the hose in the summer, would be good to save some rain for that.

I should have taken advantage of the free Harbor Freight bucket deals last month

 

we definitely need the rain that's for sure. They are saying these storms we have had last week through next will cancel out this past year's drought (not to be confused with ending the decades-long drought, just the effects of the last year).

But yeah our infrastructure is definitely not built to handle all that rain, plus with the burned areas in the mountains it's going to make for a lot of mudslides.

What is a wtf

Throw in the 1st gen lunch table stirring the pot and no wonder the 3rd gen threads are all dumpster fires.

 

Tell me I don't need an anvil.

 

Just get a heavy vice. They have that back portion that serves the purpose

 

This is the support I need.

I've got a vise, an anvil would be much larger than the vise I have and really it'd be for someone else's benefit anyway...the horn is what I'd use to round/curve something.

 

I've never needed an anvil, that's blacksmith shit

 

There are better tools for fab guys, buy a press and some dies

 

I've been telling myself - 20 ton press from HF and a SWAG offroad brake kit.

All in it's at $500 which is easily doable.

Where I'm at is when something just needs to get "persuaded" and bent a bit without using a brake.

Only had to do this once, which means really the anvil wouldn't have been worth buying. On the other hand, thinking I can get my brother in law to buy one cause he does the whole full-contact sport of wielding armor and shit and their stuff gets damaged or cracked etc.

 

Next, you'll want a blast furnace. You know, so you can then start shaping steel.

Surprised you don't already have one; making my own skids and whatnot would've had me wanting both the cnc setup and press brake.

How'd you bend your CAT skids?

 

That's uh, something alright. I can't tell if it's on par with civil war re-enacting or like midlife crisis thrill seeking... I'm gonna go with re-enactment while pounding testosterone supplements.
