They're not. Also installed the Morimoto sequential mirror lights tonight at the same time. And my tail lights are OEM housing with Diode Dynamic LED bulbs.

Also, fwiw they only hyper flash when using the turn signal stalk. If I press the hazards everything blinks normally.

You probably need a resistor on the tails

Also dont use turn signals in reverse, this causes hyperflash with mine for some odd reason

I believe a resistor will solve this issue also.

Ya my stage 1 meso tails didn't come with connectors for them (older model? Idk)

But I have only triggered the hyperflashing once intentionally testing, it hasn't happened naturally yet

I noticed the same thing after I installed my MESO Stage 1 Tails also. I haven't contacted him, but I understand he'll send you the resistors if you ask. I have recreated this scenario only a couple random times 'in the wild', but it didn't bother me enough yet to do anything about it. :D

I bought mine 2nd hand from a fellow tw member. So I dunno if he will send em to me because of where I got them. But ya I've only managed to trigger it when intentionally trying to make them hyperflash lol

Just installed the morimoto v2 Amber drls on my 23 sr5 that had stock halogens..everything looks great but Im not able to get the sequential turn signal to work or the start up even after I unplug the connectors specified in the instructions.

I also have the drl fuse tap installed. Anyone have an idea of why it’s not working?

Wow looks like I solved my first question on here. Apparently for my headlights to get the sequential turn signals the two sequence connectors need to be plugged into eachother. I could have sworn this was the opposite of the instructions and what I’ve read/seen

Did you ever figure this out? I’ve got a 2022 with OEM LEDs and using the harness as well, so far I’m down 3 fuses from the high beams, and starting sequence doesn’t work either. Did you try the fuse tap, and if so which fuse did you tap into?

Another pack of blown fuses later and I managed to figure it out!

Morimoto botched it and reversed the polarity on the hi beam cable in their 2020+ harness (it’s the same on both of my harnesses). I flipped the hi beam adapter upside down, and suddenly my high beams work and no more blown fuses. I don’t feel great driving around like that, as the connection is not secure. I’ll try calling them when they open tomorrow and see what the deal is.

For what it’s worth, I tried with and without the fuse tap. I noticed no difference with or without.

The startup sequence never worked, with or without the tap.

Everything else seems to work. To set the blinkers to sequential, do the exact opposite of what their “instructions” say.

male H9 is easy to de-pin and swap. 1.5mm screwdriver is best but 2mm may work OK. Push the tab towards the midline while you pull back on the wire. Best to push the wire forward first. Do one side at a time. If you mangle the male h9, that's one part you can find easily or I can even send.

Male h9's truly suck, it's not Toyota and I won't even blame Morimoto (other than screwing up polarity.)

NOTE: Polarity of high and low beams is opposite, that's an odd Toyota thing. White w black stripe is always ground.

Thanks for the tip! I’ll give it a shot when the rain subsides.

Interesting, I don’t have a white with black stripe (or even white) on my high beam or low beam cabling. Here’s a photo: https://imgur.com/a/OYyOF2N This is with the high beam plugged in as designed, which fries my fuses. When I flip it around so red lines up with red and black with gray, the high beams work there’s just no locking mechanism to hold them together. On the low beams the wires are lined up by color already when plugged in the intended way. I’ll give ur tip a shot and try to reverse it in the housing cable side for the high beams, thanks again!

Any ideas on getting the startup sequence to work? Not the end of the world, but would be nice if it worked.

Ask Intergerdy for specifics on the assemblies, I don’t know anything about them.

driver side white is high beam positive, red is low beam positive. Ground is always white w black stripe. Speaking of Oem wiring not any morimoto harness wires.

passenger side high beam is yellow and low beam is blue.

For a conversion harness with black for ground you want black to white w black stripe.

if you look closely at the Oem female H9 (yellow high beam) vs h11 (green low beam) you’ll notice polarity is opposite. That’s how Toyota does it. A halogen filament doesn’t care about polarity.

Hello guys just had the morimotos installed. The cut on left and right headlight don’t match. How do i adjust them?

Did you already adjust to the right height, now they don't match?

I adjusted them but on a wall 25 feet away the left headlight has like a weird streak up. So the left and right is not a straight line. It starts straight and then goes up a bit and then down again.I can send a picture later today.
