I guess they're just not a priority. There are still smashed homes to deal with out here. :(

    House down the road:

Makes sense-just a pricey boat sitting in the mangrove... rotting. The scope is beyond what I can comprehend.

Same. It's just wild seeing homes in shambles still untouched. A lot of the newer homes are fine, though. I'll have to get a picture of the upside down catamaran at some point.

Unfortunately, the insurance company has kind of tied their hands behind their back after the fire. They're waiting on the investigation paperwork to get pushed through so they can clean up that mess.

Supply chain doesn't seem to be a big problem, but it seems like everything is extra expensive down here this year.

I've been fascinated by this boat for years. I've taken pictures of it almost every time we pass it. I assume it was someone's project that they were picking at.

I hope it can be salvaged.

    Here's how it normally looks:

    Here's how it looks now:

My Mom sent this picture ^ a few weeks ago. I knew what boat it was right away.

Ordered that Nguyen bumper today. :spending:Took few months to decide if I wanted to spend the coin and then to choose a bumper. The 3 body shops I called were not interested in painting a bare metal bumper. WTF? I remembered an ex co-worker that does shade tree body work. Gave him a ring and set it up...for April. (There's a 17 week lead time.) He has a paint booth and will help (or I'll help him) install the bumper, too. I'm probably gonna paint it Nauti Blue, but I am considering POR-15 silver. (cheaper, more durable, easy touch-up.....way more noticable) I plan to coat the hitch cross member with POR-15 in black. I did find some plastic plugs that may fit the cross member holes. Any ideas/suggestions?

@wi_taco has been using a locally (midwest) MFG paint on his sliders that you might want to consider.

On that note @Pixeltim did ask permission to use some of mine for the calendar he put together in-spite of his temp ban.

Wise to do something that can be easily touched up. I powder coated my Coastal Offroad bumper, but it is thrashed in only a year... could be the scale of my mishaps has increased. I might just roll on a coat of silver this spring to hide the bulk of the scratches. POR-15 in silver? Nice...

All my armor besides the front bumper is rattle can flat black. Easy to touch up after bumping into rocks and trees.
