First Matrix mod: thing came with power windows and power door locks, but manual mirrors. The drive home showed me that they weren't going to cut it. And one of them wasn't really working. Some Google-fu and turns out that Toyota was nice enough to prewire for power mirrors. I popped the panel off where the switch was supposed to be and sure as shit it was there. I ordered up the power mirrors and found the switch and panel at a junkyard. Thirty minutes later and I had power mirrors. Hells yeah!

 

The aftermarket following isn’t real big for the matrix…..yet. So, you will need to get fabbing.

If I had only gotten the AWD model....

 

I think we can make it all wheel drive with a string trimmer shaft and some bike chain.

 

I was hoping more for a Celica GT-four drivetrain out of the ST205, but we can make this work.

 

Curious about Matrix mod number two? A self-dimming rear view mirror with garage door openers. And compass.

This could be necessary.

 

This would make a drop and Nascar style air skirts necessary as well. And a fancy color shifting paint or wrap. And most important, lots of unnecessary under body lighting.
