Tempting but with delays it’s questionable

 

It's like buying takeout pizza. You're either hungry or not. You get your order in and wait in queue until it's ready.

 

Saving 50% over competing makes, getting $180 SS shields with better venting vs $300 aluminum or $400 stainless???

I chose to wait a bit. Extra $200 will buy groceries for a week, I like to eat .

 

Emailed them today about an update on the 2wd version. This was the reply. I ordered the original 4wd on 11/14/22 then had the order changed to 2wd on 12/9/22. Still waiting patiently

I was finally able to pickup mine today, and have to say that these look fantastic, there is no better deal out there...well worth the wait....

 

Waiting on the Manual version to come out and I'll grab a set of these in a heartbeat!

 

I don't think the washer method is going to work for me. The diameter of the washers are too big for how close the bolts/holes are and the washers doesn't create a gap big enough between the catalytic converter and the guard. I may have to cut out part of the "R" symbol and just bend the "bear" symbol away from the catalytic converter.

 

I picked up about 8 nylon washers at the local Ace Hardware. 1/8” thick each I think… maybe 3/16”. If you can wait until the weekend, I’ll let you know how it goes.

 

Bought my set on 11/29, they came in 12/30. Install took 30 min in my driveway, 25 min of that was just contorting my body under the truck. Makes me want to lift it

Anyway, they fit fine, no rattles, and I had plenty of clearance with everything.

 

Check Lowes, I think they have 1/4" thick aluminum spacers in the hardware drawers.

 

Aluminum mixed with steel will cause galvanized corrosion, stainless or nylon are good choices since they're less likely to cause corrosion.

 

Just keep in mind the overall diameter of the washer has to be small enough to fit 2 washers side by side and the hole big enough for the bolts to fit through the washer. That rattling/vibrations eventually bugs the crap of outta ya.

 

That's where I got my washers from.

Just got the shipping notification today for my 2wd!
Hopefully it fits perfectly without any mods . I did buy some edge guard just in case.
