Why is my hood uneven?!?!

 

I have had the "hood flutter" at high speeds for years now, but I just noticed in December 2022 (after I put the Christmas lights on) that the left corner closest to the windshield was jutting up...

 

The front of the hood is very loose...

Bolts seem to be fine...

 

Once again, the left side is very loose...

 

They didn't feel loose, and the bracket is flush to the underside of the hood...?

 

The hood was never damaged in an accident, and I literally noticed it after I put the Christmas lights on for the holiday season. There is a ziptie holding the grille together where I haven't gotten around to gluing it yet, but that definitely isn't what's causing this. I think something probably does likely need to be tightened, and I guess I'll have Pete do that. It looks like shit, but it does not seem to be a safety issue...

Pete fixed it; I was afraid to push down on the hood, but Pete determined that the hinge was bent and just pounded on it until it lined up.

 

If the hood is loose in the front you can rotate the rubber adjuster up a little

 

My house is laid out similar to this but 2 large bedrooms instead of the way that has the extra bedroom.

I may have shared this before, here it is again. What is it with all the damn sex perverts living in Oak Harbor?!?!

First it was a classmate's father, Ron Asplund, who was sent to prison in 2012 for sexually assaulting boys in their early teens. He was a chaperone in my cabin (alongside my dad) when I spent a week at camp towards the end of 6th grade. Thankfully nothing happened, but he showed his johnson to one of my friends a couple years later (by which time I was living in Northern Virginia) Ron Asplund died of cancer in 2013, not even a year into his sentence...

This other guy, Sean Gaffney, is a classmate of mine. He is my age and we were in at least two classes together in 6th grade; I don't recall being in any classes with him in 7th grade, but while we were not exactly friends we did hang out during school hours in 6th grade. We ate lunch together, hung out after lunch, and there is picture of us playing bingo in the 2000-2001 yearbook.

Sean Gaffney got busted for being in possession of child porn, after the feds identified him through an IP address. He plead guilty to a decidedly minor charge (though I believe it's still a felony and he will have to register as a sex offender) and plead guilty in early 2022. He was supposed to be sentenced in March 2022, but I can't find anything about his sentence; I believe he was sentenced to at least a year. It just goes to show you that you literally do not know who you are sitting with (or sharing a cabin with)!

Yes. Definitely. Two of my good friends (a couple of foster kids adopted by the same family) ended up with felony convictions before they were old enough to drink. The younger one got busted for selling weed in middle school, but he was minor so it got expunged and he is allowed to own a gun. The older one got in trouble when he was 18 or 19, because he broke into a garage, spent the night in it, and stole a fire extinguisher when he left.

However, neither of those crimes involved underage kids, nor were they violent; I still keep in contact with both of them.
