Toyota Nav Missing Voice Search

I noticed recently my voice search (microphone icon) is missing from the nav search screen. Also now when vehicle is moving the search icon is greyed out. How do I reverse this?

Things I did recently:
-Had trucked serviced at Toyota
-Downloaded and added truck to toyota app (was forced to turn off vehicle data tracking)

Appreciate any help.

Interesting. Did they update this? I could always do this prior to a month ago. don’t use it much with apple play. but tried today and this “safety “ function was there locking me out.

Now I can just hit the talk button to ask for directions but when i have a navigator in the passenger seat they like to search when vehicle is moving

My dynamic navigation trial ended. I think that is why.

 

You can use the search feature while driving, but you have to manually type out the word/address. You cannot use the mic and say "Find 100 Main Street, blah blah blah".

 

Thanks. guess i will just use apple nav. sucks that toyota nav is lacking. wonder if the new nav in the 23 has a better suite.

 

voice nav isn't 100% onboard, it needs to talk to the mother ship. i've experienced spots in nevada where the voice thing disappears for search and then it pops up again in more populated areas. the grayed out icon is the indicator. when its like that, typing is the only way and you have to be stopped for it to allow you to do that. for some reason its always paired with the GPS icon having an X across it and greyed out too.
