Your mirrors swivel so if you fold them in the flush mounted light would be at 90°

Are you even thinking of the future when you sell the truck ? You will diminish its value for this "mod".

Please don't take this the wrong way but there is a reason your mods are not popular.
Black wheels and lift kits are really popular mods because a lot of people like them.
Mounting recessed lights all over your truck is something that, it seems, you are the only person who likes that mod.

Your truck and you do you but don't expect many people to agree with you.

Cool idea. The only thing I have seen that is similar is what the GX guys are doing with the mirror-mounted lights.

I was reading his switch panel idea a while back and my first thought was "damn, that's going to be a lot of switches. I would have to invent lights just to fill that panel, lights that I probably wouldn't use."

This project is definitely not for me, nor would it be the way I went about doing things... But it's an interesting project to watch.

I would look a snorkel instructions if you're set on cutting a hole. Personally I would put it on the frame rail for that lighting angle.

I am going to use Diode Dynamics SSC1s for that. The SAE Fog ones. Those are a little brighter than the pros I am told. I went with the fog pattern so that I can keep them aimed appropriately and not blind people. I am not sure how the wide beam pattern from BD compares, but it is something to think about. The part where they come on with the turn signals isn't too hard to do, and you can still retain your switch option (I think, I just glanced at your switch panel, didn't read much). But if you relay is high side (+) switched, you could change the turn signal from a low side (-) to a high side with a relay. Of course, you probably have them wired to the same relay.... Hmm, that might make it more difficult. Sorry, I am thinking "out loud" as I type this. I guess you could do it where either turn signal triggers both lights, or get creative with some 3A diodes and a couple additional relays to have each side controlled by its respective turn signal. That would negate the need to convert from low to high side switching. I am sure @caribe makaira already has a diagram drawn up for it

Now, if you really want to get crazy, you can do something like this: Have the cornering lights controlled by the turn signal, as well as the Meso shifter buttons which will also control the ditch light and the side facing roof lights (as an option) on their respective sides. Or sub that for the side mounted lights in your case. Also retaining individual switching options for those as well. It gets... complex, but it will be nice to have that degree of control I think :D

For turn signals, is there a constant signal somewhere when activated? Or would we need to build/buy a little logic circuit with a timer for a constant signal once the first blink happened?

There is a constant signal in the stalk switch. It is a ground signal though. But using a timer would be a good solution too. These ones come in 5A or 10A, and can be programmed easily enough. Multi Functional Timers The nice thing about that for a solution is it could all be done under the hood, and the timer doubles as a relay.

I believe Lexus IS250s of around the year 2012 had cornering headlights that adjusted the aim of the bulbs left to right depending on the steering wheel orientation... Well I sure wish my Tacoma had that, can't see for sht when cornering fast

OP: you have turn signals in your mirrors that point 90° for the most part. Perhaps you could retrofit some very powerful LEDs in there and sacrifice the mirror turn signal function...

    +1 for baja designs

i've never bought offroad lighting from any brand yet, but baja designs is the only brand i look to simply because of the effort they put into the pre-purchase and after-purchase support. they tend to be more expensive, but still worth it. their employees are all over multiple forums, actively participating in them and helping to teach people about the specs well beyond just 'buy our product'. i've spent a lot of late nights on hidplanet talking to one of them (whose name i can't remember anymore) about their active thermal control, and how it protects the lights while still providing as much light as possible.

i've never seen a rigid employee on any forum even so much as try to tell me about which powdercoat color they use.

This is just what accumulated on my Taco while I was skiing yesterday:

This is just a few inches of heavy snow. I've had to clear off a foot or more. An A-pillar light is right in the channel where I drag all of the snow off the windshield.

And this is what I woke up to this morning:
    upload_2023-1-15_21-20-15.jpg

Which is why I don't want lights on A-pillar mounts or lights that are mounted on the end of brackets in general. Flush mounted lights won't trap snow between the light and what they are mounted to.
