Half question, half for sale. Looking to sell my 1939 Tula Mosin Nagant. Bought in OH, live in upstate NY now. I'm under the impression that I can no longer sell a long rifle without going through a FFL, correct? So how exactly does that work? We meet, transfer ownership at the location, yada yada yada, done? It's all a mystery to me. Item is for sale though, I'd like to get $400 but I have absolutely no idea what the going rate is these days.

 

No idea about the sales question. But as far as pricing goes, you can check the sold prices on gun broker for a rough estimate. Seems like you're within the range though.

I think that is about right on the price, especially if it is matching numbers.

 

I live in upstate. I just sold a long rifle to family member and didn’t use ffl. But selling to a stranger is a different thing. It’s like a lot of stuff surrounding this state, I would use ffl for a stranger sale but within family close friend especially ones that already have store purchased rifles and pistols. State doesn’t need to have their nose in everything

'39 is a very desirable year for Mosins, I paid $375 for a finnish capture SA marked rifle and tbh yours is much, much nicer.

I think that's a $550-$600 rifle all day. They're only getting more expensive.

BA 13.9 pin and weld with 6 port SLOGW NOX. The NOX is timed so that the keymo dimple will line up at 12 o’clock. Has an Aero AGB and melonite gas tube. Aero precision barrel nut for atlas rails. Less than 2 mags on everything. Bit of carbon on the NOX that I’m sure would clean off if you wanted it to from shooting suppressed. Looking for $210
