I did find one, at a very inflated price though. I'll have to think about how bad I "need" one.
That started a downward spiraling rabbit hole of looking at discontinued models. Was shocked to see how much some of them are worth now.

It’s part of the reason I haven’t opened some of mine. That and the severe lack of space.

and why I question if putting money in a 401k is wise and if I would be better off investing in Legos instead

I built the fort in 2009 and the ship in 2010, then headed off to graduate school, a career, etc. and have not done anything with Lego for 12 - 13 years. But I still think the hobby is great and want to get back into it with my children.

Here is the original Eurobricks post I put up of the Fort. Here are the Brickshelf folders (Page 1, Page 2, Page 3).

As for the ship, I don't think I ever posted it on the Lego hobby groups, but here is its Brickshelf folder.

I'm looking forward to rejoining the Lego community; separately, I'm hoping the Tacoma will be useful for hauling things to meets and so forth.

For what some of these models cost, it would be nice if the "glass" maybe had better packaging, even a plastic film layer would go a long way in preventing scratches.

    The scuffs are permanent too.

Yeah, it's not great. Lego switched from acetate to a clear ABS a year or two ago as part of their environmental initiative. As a result, clear parts scuff incredibly easily and have a hazy appearance. Wish they'd fix that issue, too.

Factory lift kit. Lomax tri fold Tonneau.
I have used plastic polish that is found in automotive section by car wax stuff. Results are better than abrasive marks.
I have seen an article within the last month or so that was about retired legos and how much they go up in value. Not all have good returns. The Star Wars stuff was mentioned as having some of the highest returns.
