    I remember those! Alcatel made the modems and you needed second pair wiring and a NID.

    There was a point they just put filters on all the connections and you put the modem wherever as it used primary line input (making it user installable).
    What type of service level are they able to offer? Tops was 1.5/256 for many years and 2/512 was the last I was offered. I know rural has loss due to distance from DSLAM unit.

    Not sure what's in store for me today so far as work. I recall last week the superintendent asking me if I could machine a ball-screw because they've broken that jactuator shaft AGAIN. I told them the last time to order a piece of ball-screw and I'll just machine the ends accordingly.
