I'm not in the business of talking shit about peoples' business but I'll say that my dealings with him have left me with a sour taste for his practices and communication

There's a reason I chose to assemble the entire kit myself rather than deal with him.

First I'm hearing of a bad review. Wish I'd have known since I was considering the same. You should speak out more lol

I'll just have John jumping down my throat with all caps about how Gabe saved his life and revived his daughter on her wedding day after rebuilding his engine with a laptop. I don't need that, I figure I won't be the only one with issues soon enough and we can discuss it then. That also gives the guy a chance to correct his processes and practices. What I've seen in the tunes he provides leaves me with little confidence

    lmao
    kk

Well I suppose I should put my very short story out there thus far in that case:
Contacted Gabe on FB for the first time in Octoberish and he was very responsive. Then emailed a couple weeks later with some more technical questions, to which he was also fairly responsive, though he wouldn't directly answer my questions.

Black Friday rolls around and I still haven't made a decision, but the price drop rolls me over so I order via their new website (which he instructed). I received a text a day later from someone claiming to work from GoDaddy asking to verify the purchase amount, which I did and never heard from them again. Then got an email another day or two later from Gabe stating they were having issues with the payment processor, and he sent me a Paypal invoice instead. At that point, I still had a charge on my card for around 4 grand, so I waited for the refund to process first. That took about a week.

We exchange a few more emails and ultimately I'm currently left with an "unpaid invoice" still on Paypal for it and a promise that my price is locked in and that he will contact me when parts are ready to ship. So it's now January and I'm nowhere closer to having my ECU than I was on November 25th, and I don't know if I should have paid again, or just wait, but so far I'm just waiting.

our local Pep Boys turned into an Advance Auto

haven't had the need to go in to it since they switched other than to buy wiper blades, but it looks nicer.

I wish our local PD cared more about such things, every Friday night it's like unofficial street racing night...not so much in our neighborhood but in the area below the freeway maybe a couple miles away. Shits loud af not to mention doing it in a neighborhood someone is gonna get hurt. Take that shit to an empty parking lot somewhere

We get shit like that here too... :/
People revving their bikes or straight piped muscle cars right off the freeway ramp. A blind person can always tell the time of day around here.

My neighbor (another one, really cool guy) called me this morning and we talked about the whole ordeal; laughed about how my Land Cruiser and his Transit Cargo Van couldn't do a burn out if their lives depended on it

you've got the Spartan locker, just rub some Crisco on the rear wheels and let 'er rip

trust me she can't be convinced, it's too far from the ocean and she hates super hot summers maybe more than I do lol.

the only place as far or further from the ocean we've looked at is Grass Valley, but only because it's where her family is.

We have a Speedway/race track maybe 15 miles away that you can hear clear as if it were just down the way on certain nights, fortunately though they shut down by 10pm at the latest. Can never hear it during the day but at night the temp inversion really makes it easy to hear.

getting a little sunshine right now actually but yeah, tomorrow is going to be fun. We're in the foothills and they are predicting 6"+ of rain for us and the mountains.

Wondering if it will be snow or rain when it passes over me. I can enjoy a little more snow.
