I and several people I know have moved away from SPC arms in the last couple of years. Their QC or just material quality has gone downhill significantly when it comes to their ball joints. I think I went through 3 sets in a year where the truck only drove 10k. I mean I admit I’m hard on the truck, but the new chinesium arms I got have held up a lot better

 

I'm on my 3rd set of ball joints for my SPCs. I always end up with vertical play on one side and replace the pair. AutoZone keeps them in stock and with the permanent online sales they have been under 60 bucks both times.

I'd probably go with something else if I were to do it again, but at this point I just consider them a wear item, and they're otherwise great in terms of adjustability.

 

a great place with lots of memories - lived there in the mid-70's when I worked in Redstone at the coal mines. Village Smithy is my favorite and have been going there since it opened. That little town has changed with all the growth in the valley - but still a close community

 

I am not hard on the truck and they have excessive play on the passenger and still a lot on driver. Super annoying.

Anyone have a recommendation for bathroom and kitchen remodel contractors?

 

Does anyone ice fish with the full pop up and setup? If so, would you be interested in letting me tag along at some point this year? This is something that I would like to try out and see if i enjoy it. I am happy to bring what I can (bourbon, food, jigs etc) but I would need to use ice fishing specific gear. Tight lines!
