Just found out that we're going to lose power to the building so the power company can finally replace the leaking transformer we informed them about this summer.

It's not an easy task in dealing with the public in a daily basis; even tougher with the drunken customer.

I guess I'm fortunate to be with the cable company at my area; still paying just under $20 per month for the service.

Chin up!! Nothing to be embarrassed about here. It is no different than needing reading glasses as you get older. It is just a fact of life that aging men's bodies do not have the same capacities that younger male bodies do. Follow the suggestion already given and use Good RX to get your prescription(make sure it is generic).

I have a tendency to do that too, I guess my kid don't like that; but I think there is nothing wrong to remind people of the past to perfect the future. :notsure:

In 7th grade I had to get glasses. I could not see really clearly past my outstretched hands but I could read a book two inches in front of my face. Fast forward 45 years and I can still read a book that is about 6 inches in front of my face but I have to take my glasses off to work on the computer, look at my phone, read, etc. If I wore contacts then I would have to wear reading glasses to see up close.

I can't see far off, had too many pieces of metal cut out of my eyes and I'm sure welding hasn't helped them. I got bifocals last year and they are great if I'm on my phone but I take them off to read on the computer. I also have trouble reading the TV without them if I'm sitting on the far end of the couch.
