When I was younger and too cheap to buy new wiper blades, Rain X was my salvation then and it will be once again

Tried to get a loaner compression tester from Advanced last week. The kid didn't seem to know what I was asking for and couldn't find it on the shelf. I asked if the store didn't have one at all or if somebody else just had it out at the moment. He shrugged. I said thank you and drove to the O'Reily's a few blocks away.

O'Reily's gave me a compression tester no problem. When I tried to use it, it leaked at the quick-release fitting. On to Autozone...

The guy who rang me up was cool. I also grabbed an overpriced roll of shop towels and he said, "here, the orange cleaner is only ten cents when you buy that".

Compression tester worked (135/120/120/150 though). When I went to return it, the lady working the floor was seemed startled when I came in. She was going on about how "rapunzel" means lettuce in German while the guy at the counter said virtually nothing.

Win some, lose some I guess.

I hate to admit it but Costco (Goodyear brand I think) wiper blades - never had an issue with them. Wiper Fluid Mix, I grab the green one formulated with rain-x

Cheaper of the two Rain-X wiper options at Target... can't beat $10 a blade these days and because no one goes there for car stuff they always have em

I think the Rain-X blades on my Civic whistle. I vaguely recall Matt (Matt's Off Road Recovery) complaining about the same thing on his XJ.

I don't think I've ever notices that, but I buy the cheap ones not the beams (which have an edge that I can see whistling)

Yeah, I think I got the fancy ones. Won't do that again.

I've been happy with the Bosch blades on my Tacoma, but I don't know how much of that is the blades and how much is the wax/rain-x treatment that seems to have been applied by the seller before I bought it.
