with certain OME Bilstein can bottom out and make a shock clunk

My clunk now is from my steering rack; wore out the nuts holding it during poly bushing job and need to put new ones. FSM states only tighten the bolts; the nuts are serrated. AKA the opposite of anything anyone has ever heard of

Funny enough... the 'clunk' only happens under straight line compression of the suspension. Like I mentioned, when going over speed bumps (and the type of speed bump i'm talking about are like big rolling speed bumps, not like little short and steep ones), when the suspension compresses coming OFF the speed bump is when i get the 'clunk'. I replied to someone else in this thread but i've replaced the shocks and springs (Bilstein 5100's and OME 883's) but the 'clunk' was there prior to those additions as well. They recommended checking the sway bar to make sure its not hitting something, so i'll check the bushings to see if they look worn. Last I checked they looked fine and I tried wiggling the sway bar by hand, but it didn't budge and the bushings looked fine.

No, Bilstein 5100's and OME 883's all replaced within the past 2 years.

Interesting... maybe they are bottoming out. They are set at the 0" setting if that affects the compression travel (not sure if it does).

Not sure what you are running for UCA's but my SPC need lube like every couple months. I always know because of a bump on my way to work. It makes a clunk when I got hit it and after adding come lube goes away. May need to just check everything that takes grease and throw some in them.

How aggressive is your 'clunk'? I have something similar but its when I hit potholes, big and short speed bumps. It feels like my dash is going to fall off. This is on Eibach Pro Truck coilovers.

Its not super aggressive but definitely a noticeable like 'wtf is that' clunk. And its clearly coming from the front end somewhere. No noise elsewhere in the vehicle. When I had my OME coils installed and the alignment done I even told the shop about the 'clunk', but unfortunately they couldn't replicate it so they weren't much help there.

and i apologize to this lengthy thread by not multi-quoting... keep forgetting to do that.

Maybe also check the battery hold down clamp, the crush bar bolts, the radiator mounts, front frame bushings, anything heavy that’s bolted in, even the motor mounts.

Installed the Pop and Lock tailgate lock, back up camera and Mountain Hatch today on my 2013 ACLB. Ran the wiring into the cab, just have to finish wiring in the camera to the head unit now. The Pop and Lock system is so nice to have, although the manual lock does feel chintzy.

What projectors did you use? I'm very tempted to do this myself.

Morimoto Mini D2S 5.0s. I don't know if I'd do it again, to be honest. It's a TON of work! I don't even want to guess how many hours I spent on these. The benefit to doing it yourself is obviously you can do as precise of a job as you'd like. If I would have spent the same amount of hours as I spent on these lights, working extra hours at work, I could have bought atleast a couple sets. It was a good experience, and it feels awesome now that they're done, but I don't think I'd do it again. If you start building a set, shoot me a message with any concerns, you will run into some issues. I can help you out with what I've learned.

One last thing I can think of. A couple years ago I had a clunk in the winter I could not track down and thought it was ice build up (I don't have a garage to work in or thaw the truck) so I brought it to a shop I trust and they found one of my front body mount bolts had come a little lose. I have no clue how it did but it was causing a big sound that I could feel in the floor board. Might be something to check that is overlooked. I know I didn't find it.
