My neighbor grew up just over the hill, he told me "I remember when your house was just a shack".

I told him it hadn't come all that far... ;)

I heard about this on the news..sad. a month or two ago i remember hearing about mom and child? That died this way too. I dont usually use accelerants to start fires but when needed use diesel or vulcum or...but not gas...i guess ive used old mix before but ya just dont need much. Growing up watching elders make acetylene bombs out of hard hats and other improvised explosives....i learned to be very cautious. Worst thing i saw was a gatorade bottle dry ice bomb explode in this guys hand...shot plastic right through his hand.

    Agree.
I have a Chromebook, DVD player and a cell phone.
Beyond that I don't see myself needing much more tech - although thinking about it a wheel balancer less than 50 years old would be nice.

I still use one of these:

A guy i knew basically blew his hand off with a homemade fireworks. Guess it was full of those snapit's things, i dont know all details but they said it blew a couple fingers off and shredded the others. Went to hospital and had hand amputated about mid forearm.

noticed my road vibes were heavier on my way home today. Pulled up to the garage and got under with the inkling of carrier bearing. Sure enough 1/8" of slop in the sucker. My wallet is now $144 lighter since I might as well also replace all 3 U joints. :bored:

Better at home than out on the road somewhere, should be good for another 7 years too.

Oh god I’m old…. You had windows by then.
What version did you start with?
I think I quit with v13. Probably still have the disks…

    A few.
I haven’t seen one of those in years… That was my first job at age 12. I’d get paid a buck a tire balancing tires at races on the weekend, some weekends I’d clear $600.00. Got damn good at using a bubble balancer.

First version I used was 2000i. I've used damn near every one since. AutoCAD 2024 will probably be be coming out in a few months. Getting about as bad as vehicle model years.
