My coworker finally got back to me. She sold her current bike (a yamaha v-star that was way too big for her) to a friend of a friend out of town and is now interested in the Navi again. Quickest she'd be able to get the other bike picked up and get the Navi wouldn't be until March, but looks like it might almost be time for me to do some spring bike shopping

There was a recall on them for the transmission issues. I'm not exactly sure what years where involved but it is a known problem.

Does anyone have any experience with newer Urals? I know the rep they had/have, but if there's any truth to this vid, reliability may be a plus now. I have always thought these things were cool as hell, just never wanted to deal with their "quirks". Really digging the 2023 Adventure

Just wish they came in Rainer White

Recall is for 2016 to about 2018 for the 6 speed transmission. This was a 2007, 5 speed bike, no recall for them.

Sounds like you need to hurry up and knock out some murals with the Navi! Or does it have to be the same bike?

I don't think it has to be the same bike? I registered the F800GS with it, FWIW.

May have spent the last half hour cruising facebook and craiglist for groms though..

If the internet is correct, my local dealer has 5 2023's in stock at MSRP, they have VIN's listed and everything.

    https://www.spencesales.com/Inventory/New-Inventory-In-Stock/New/Motorcycles

Edit: this dealer was the long-time Pullman dealer that shut down in August and moved the 8 miles across the border to Moscow, Idaho. I'm not sure if they flat out sold or just sold the building and moved. Might just be that noone knows they exist yet.

Have a friend with one on order as his retirement gift to himself. He doesn't have it yet but has good things to say so far based on dealer info. Time will tell.

I need to see how hard it is to change out the grommets or nubbins or bobbins or whatever they're called. You know I'm all about the gold wheels, but I'm not digging the lime green accents.

And yes I know my Navi is lime green :anonymous:

I'm gonna watch how the new stuff on the 23's do. Maybe in a year or so I can find one used for a deal if things work out.

Yeah, the lime green has to go. Supposedly it’s super easy to change out everything for what you want, that’s why they designed it with the nubbins.
