Though with Snow the owners of the Truck always said Find a good restaurant take a nap.

If it is a few inches your good to go within hours when it stops a blizzard I was so very glad I took that advice.

Rather then being stuck in a major parking lot on the road .

Deer strike. Not me but I had to leave my truck for the other driver. Headlights suck on this truck, down to one is like down to none. Got one scale that I'm worried about. 50 50 they're open or not.

Officer that dam deer just ran out and hit my truck not a 1/2 ago.

I really hope the busted light is in the truck.

    Good luck!

Sorry, can't like. The closer I'm getting to retirement, the harder it's getting to go back...and my job doesn't suck nearly as bad as some of y'alls (@woodtickgreg).

We were off Mon. Tue morning, one of the guys comes in, walks into the boss's office and says that as of the end of the day, he's retired. He had been planning on (and had told management) retiring @ the end of the month. He had been off for almost 12 weeks for knee surgery, came back the week before Christmas. After 4 days, he couldn't sleep because his back hurt so bad. Says he has had back problems for almost 20 years and had just learned to live with it. Once he was off for the knee, his back started feeling better and better. He didn't want to go backwards and decided that retiring immediately was what he needed to do (his wife may have helped make his decision). The boss understood and said it's not a problem as we are expected to be slow most of the month anyway.

One of the other guys got a reprieve. Most of us figure he was about to either be fired or laid-off due to the above returning to work (another guy also just came back from wrist surgery). Now he's needed as a buffer in case we get busier than expected. You all know the guy, he's the one that gets half as much done as anyone else yet makes more because he's on the clock longer than anyone because of how f&cking slow he is.

I'm down to 53 weeks to retirement. I may work through the first quarter only because I don't have any retirement plans until April. We have 3 others that are expecting to retire in that time frame.

Just enough to look kinda cool.
Well I just found out that my seat can be sat on the floor like them cool peterbilt boys. I tried it but after like 20 minutes my knee started to cramp up. How do they do that?

I did feel like a bad ass rolling around in my purple Barney looking sterling. :burnrubber:

Been riding around for years with no air in the chair, Petes, KW, whatever I’ve been driving, to me, it’s much more comfortable. Used to work with a guy who was probably 6’5”, ran with the seat all the way up, used to call him Lurch, had to bend down to see out, never got that one !

Haha I’ll take no air vs head in the clouds all day. Maybe it’s just a peter/kw cause when I used to run a 389 I ran with my seat low but the frame on that truck was also pretty high so it wasn’t on the floor

I drove for quite sometime with a 4"x4" block under the seat because the airbag leaked.

I learned never sit the starting fluid near the seat every big bounce sprayed a little out.
