I got covid right now but it could be worse. Got some brand new AT3 4S in the mail last week, looking forward to getting those on and seeing how they compare to the old ones

 

I’m brand new to the Tacoma family. Just picked up a 2020 TRD sport premium in Halifax.

looking forward to getting some basic mods and body changes done to this beast.

 

HOOD SWAP:
I have a 2021 Sport in Cement looking to trade my mint scoop hood for a mint non-scoop hood plus cash. Let me know if anyone is interested!

I know there’s a thread for this, but it’s mostly people from the US.

I already ordered the pro grille, aesthetically I prefer it over the stock one.

I’m considering a slight lift but I’ll wait until spring.

Right now it’s mostly cosmetic stuff, I want to black out the lower front bumper to match the pro styling, I did a chrome delete on the interior vent rings, and I’ll order some matte white vinyl to wrap the hood scoop to reduce glare.

What have you done to yours!? It’s funny, now that I own one I’m constantly looking for them as I’m driving. There are a lot of Tacoma’s in Halifax but mostly stock from what I’m seeing.

I've got a pretty cookie cutter Taco, nothing too wild, 3" lift, 33" tires, Plate bumper with winch, Rock Sliders, Light bar, CB Radio ( soon to be a HAM radio )



All the nitty gritty is in my build thread if you wanted to know more, but that's the basic / obvious stuff.

I wish we could get some snow so I could get my winter off roading fix!

I really need to get going on buying the last couple of things I need to get my truck done so I can do all the mods in the spring but damnit trying to find skid plates in Canada for a reasonable price is hard!

its been a busy few months for me at work, Switched Job, Same company just doing a different thing ( way less stressful, just lots to learn right now ).

I"ve still got my front skid in my Garage, but not put it on ( need to fix a tensioner, install my upgraded ALT, and fix the dang AC compressor... First world problems right? I've also decided to get the truck engine rebuilt, waiting on the rebuilder to give me a quote ( bore it out, new pistons, bearings, water pump, etc.... )

oh! I also bought some tube disconnects from TMR customs so I can make some auzzie style front fender sliders / protectors? I think those look pretty cool!


anyone get anything truck / tool related for Christmas?

 

Not exactly a Christmas present but I now own a ball joint press! I guess the present was getting my new AT3s on the day before Christmas Eve

my rebuilder contacted me, the Taco goes under the knife next week to get the motor rebuilt!
so jazzed!

I guess I have to finally clean out my truck! lol

 

Anybody have any feed back on the Enthuze Winches that Action truck sells? Good, bad, cheap China crap to stay away from? Can't find too much on line about them.

I have the Runva 11xp from Costco that I've lightly used ( messing around in my yard etc. )
@Canoehead has a winch that has been heavily used, hopefully he chimes in to let us know what brand it is.....

 

Mine is a Superwinch Tigershark. They went out of business, I heard they might be coming back to market though.

 

Any one know where I can find a ECGS bushing removal tool for a 3 gen tacoma? Cheers. I live in CB, Nova Scotia.

if you paid for shipping both ways I would have no issues lending it to ya, but honestly its not much more than a threaded bolt and some steel bar. got access to a grinder? I think you could make one yourself. I can give you the dimensions if you like
