I have been on Facebook since March 2008, and I've never been hacked. I played this popular car racing game extensively in 2008-2009, and one time I was nearly the victim of a failed phishing attack. Some random guy spoofed the account of an admin who ran this game on Facebook, saying that there had been complaints against me by other users and he needed my Facebook password to set things right; I was maybe 20 years old at the time not very street smart, but I knew something wasn't kosher and in a not-so-kind way told the so-called admin to take a hike.

I had gotten into a dispute with another user that same day, but that ended up being a very convenient coincidence for the scammer; I initially asked if he meant this incident and he was very vague if I remember correctly. When he asked the for my password, I knew he was full of shit.

He actually had the nerve to say "Do you know who I am?!?!" as if I was supposed to believe he was this almighty admin and be scared of him.

 

Also, a sure sign that she's come sort of porno/webcam/call girl, would be the constant use of the word "dear" to address people...

 

My cousin lives in the Rochester, NY area and is quite well-known on social media. Somebody somehow managed to get his Facebook password and successfully pose as him. We have no idea who this person is or where they operate out of, but they are some sort of cryptocurrency scammer who is pretending to be my cousin and claiming to have gotten incredibly rich. He changed the email address and password and effectively locked my cousin out of his account. Several friends and a few relatives believed the posts. My cousin started a new account and tried to file a claim with Facebook, but got nowhere. He then attempted to confront the scammer via messenger and got blocked; I also attempted this and got blocked. Luckily, all of my cousin's family members and close friends believe that someone hacked his account and everybody has just moved on.

 

And the only "violence" he committed was wrecking an Oldsmobile Achieva. He didn't hurt any people!

Remember the guy who last month called me a "pussy bitch" totally unprovoked because he thought I was moving in on a girl he liked (who had broken up with him, I might add) by simply driving her home from a party, and I reciprocated by telling him that I would knock his teeth out if he talked to me like that again?

Well years ago, he managed to get charges of driving without a license, DUI, and underage drinking at the same time. He was 16 when this happened. The age at which one get can get a driver's license ranges from 14-15 all the way up to 17 depending on what state you live in, but in Pennsylvania it's 16 for a learner's permit and 16½ for a driver's license. This guy had a learner's permit at some point, but it has since expired. This is all hearsay, as I heard it from a friend who in turn heard from an ex-friend of guy; I have no idea what the details are, but I would venture to guess that he decided to take a joyride after a few drinks and got pulled over.

To the best of my knowledge, he has not had any type of criminal offenses since the DUI (I don't even know if the DUI and related offenses stayed on his record, since he was a minor), but I have heard all sorts of disturbing allegations about him since cutting ties and I'm glad that I have ended the relationship.

A former coworker from Puck managed to a DUI charge at just 15. Since he obviously didn't have a license at the time, I don't think it even delayed his ability to get a learner's permit. He got his driver's license as a teenager and managed to get another DUI after he turned 21, but before the first one reached it statute of limitations, and he was treated as a habitual offender. Even though he didn't cause an accident or hurt anybody, and his BAC was above the legal limit but not particularly high, he had to have a breathalyzer interlock thing installed in his car.

One day, he was a few minutes late for work. Why? He had been drinking heavily the night before, and the breathalyzer registered enough alcohol on his breath that it prevented his car from starting, and he had to walk to work. You'd think the mere thought of having to get a breathalyzer installed in one's vehicle would be enough of a deterrent!

Another guy I know from work got pulled over in New Jersey and ended up with a DUI. He is a resident of, and has a driver's license in, Pennsylvania. He had to pay a fine, but New Jersey couldn't suspend a Pennsylvania driver's license. They were, however, able to suspend him from driving in New Jersey for a few months. If he drove into Jersey and got pulled over, he could be in a lot of trouble.

The 70-year old man who hit my truck in October 2015 while driving drunk had a prior DUI in the 1980s where he actually killed somebody, but because DUI laws had been less stringent and he'd already done his time, he was treated a lot less harshly than I would have liked. The guy who hit me was a snowbird. He had a Florida driver's license and his old Mercedes was registered in Florida, so I'm assuming he had a summer residence in PA or was just visiting family. Pennsylvania has reciprocity with Florida, so he lost his license for a year. The old bastard also tried to get his license back quicker through Pennsylvania's accelerated rehab program, but the prosecutor refused to let him do that since he'd killed somebody while driving drunk in the 1980s. Even though the law wouldn't allow a total revocation of the man's driver's license, they were able to inconvenience him for a year.

 

I want a serious relationship. The last girl I tried to get serious with got angry and went to a bipolar rage because I wouldn't bang her in a public restroom 24 hours after first chatting with her...

Do vehicles rust and rot in Alaska like they do in New York? There's an FJ Cruiser with Alaska plates around here that belongs to someone stationed at the Air Force base that appears to be in pretty decent shape; I live in Washington for two years and went to British Columbia with my parents, but I've never been to Alaska...

It's not as easy as you think; I have nearly 15 years of pictures that aren't backed up. Also, I am a celebrity on this car group called "Rusting and Running Rides"...

 

I couldn't deal with all the drama on there.

 

I spend far more time on TW than I do on Facebook; I actually joined Facebook back in 2008 because a girl from high school who I had a crush on convinced me to do it. Keep in mind that we were 19 at the time...

 

I got to talking to a very attractive blonde at Lowe's one day, she asked me to look her up on FB but l just gave her my phone number instead.

 

Social media is responsible for 99.9% of the world's problems...

 

I don’t know who that is, but you say “accused”. If that’s the case, imposing a sentence before conviction isn’t how the justice system works.

Again, I have no idea who the person is you mentioned. And if they are convicted, then I am ok with what ever sentence they are given.

Facebook is not a place for me.
I don’t care enough about what other people are doing in their life.

 

I don’t know, poor parenting and the acceptance of ignorance probably plays a large part of it too.
