BTW back in 2021, SF Toyota had a restomodded 1967 Stout in the showroom on sale for - sit down - $400,000!

Obviously, baited for some brainless techie to come in and fling his ill-begotten windfall around.

Ask if they ever sold it.

Why not just have it shipped? A shipping company could have that delivered in 2-3 days for under a grand. :notsure:
I don't think throw out bearings are covered under powertrain warranty.

To everyone saying ship it, I looked at shipping a 4 wheeler across the country, A 4 WHEELER, they all started out at 6 grand, I said no fucking way, after weeks they came down to 2600 dollars, can’t see shipping a truck making it cheaper.

Road trips especially in a new car are epic!!

They would have to pay me to not drive my own vehicle.

You guys doing okay after last night? Assuming you’re all still in the Nor Cal area?

I was checking late last night and lots of road closures or lane restrictions due to fallen trees and flooding. May prevent me from heading out that way unless I can confirm tonight that stuff is cleared.

T-minus 18 hours until I take off! Land at 9:10am tomorrow. Trying to hit the road by 11.

Yeah, shipping was at $1k minimum and I’ve just heard too many horror stories. It’d be different if it the total miles were exceeding 1000 simply because I don’t have more than 2 nights maximum to head back. Plus I want to drive it! I don’t have a commute (work from home) and technically my wife and I don’t need two cars, so any chance to get a fun driving weekend to break in a new truck albeit a manual that I haven’t driven in a decade, sign me up.

I did something similar when i bought my truck. Had only driven a stick shift once or twice in the last 15 years, and bought my 05 6sp from a guy that lived 5 hours away and drove it home.

I revved stupidly and jerked around for the first few miles but it didn't take long to smooth myself out and pick it back up. You'll be good to go

Some flooding in areas and spotted power outages but ok in my area.

Definitely keep us updated! Hoping the weather cooperates and you can enjoy the fun route back home.

I'm gone but, owing to the conditions out there, choose your route wisely. Too bad you can't delay about a week and do the scenic drive.

Nice truck. I have had my white 22 Pro 6MT for a few months now. Lucked out that someone didn’t pick theirs up!Previously had an 05, 03, 85, and a 96 4Runner lol and this one definitely shifts the nicest but is a bit too much tech for my taste. After you get it make sure to avoid this website and YouTube. I’ve already got 35s and 5.29s going in..

No joke. I am on the same path with 5.29s and 33.9"s in the near future.
