No worries. I'm at a place where I have to be analytical and sarcasm and frolicking about are frowned up from those on "Humorless Hill." Sound familiar?

But it's my Friday, so ....

Hells bells, we've already gone to the dark side and got inducted into the hi-lift hall of fame in Uwharrie.

To close the loop on this (cuz I know you wuz wondering), we got the Accord running. Turns out you can't lock the damn actuator before you torque it down or it ruins a little pin inside it. Only took 3 actuators to figure it out....if anyone needs a VTC actuator replaced Taylor and I can do it in our sleep! The silver lining was it was Taylor's first time doing anything beyond oil changes and brakes, so knowledge and experience were gained (multiple times). And we got to use an angle grinder lol

It is. I just do it anyway. Not like they'll fire me.

These little lessons in car wrenching sound familiar to me.

No, but they did just grab me by the short hairs to make me do what I don't want to do. So I'm not trying to grab any attention.

Not in this case. 4 of us who were having success on a good team with no turnover were moved to make room for others to get trained on the team. Two of the four are returning to the team after a year away. Plus three other stories. All of which contradict each other. More BS rolling down hill. I get a %1o shift premium out of it and I'm not working all weekend. So there is that.

Sounds like turning down two jobs with the same agency was a good call on my part.

Depends on where you are. Most of the other units here are pretty good. 2/3 of my area is pretty good. Just the 1/3 has some leadership issues. If you would have gone where I think you would have gone (same area as Chris) you would probably be ok.

I did Potts in the Tacoma. If I went back, I think I'd want to be better prepared for it. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. For about the first half, my non-slider side steps were unscathed. And then they weren't. At all. I made it. Got stuck once because of my own stupidity. A quick winch and I was on my way.

I really need to get my shit together and find a rig.

I'd like to do Potts also but I've heard you need a winch, so I need to move the front bumper project up my to do list; I keep getting side tracked with other projects/fires to put out (like the Accord).

Would a Matrix on 16-inch wheels be okay on this Flagpole trail?
