First off -- I am so glad and thankful that Hamlin is coming on strong on his road to recovery! I watched the News conference in the Cincinati hospital a couple of hours ago. what struck me as unbelieveable was the STUPIDITY of several of the reporters questions to the doctors! One reporter in particular started asking about Hamlin coming back to play football. Extremely dumb on many counts: First -This guy was microseconds from DEATH -does the reporter understand the meaning of the word "DEATH"? It's Final baby and I have not heard of football in the afterlife so why would he even ask this? Second -How the hell would doctors even be thinking of "football"? They are concerner with getting his life back to some form on normal. Just to be able to move/speak/walk and function! Does this "idiot reporter" even think about the Dr's concerned about getting Hamlin back on the football field? At this early of stage in his recovery?
I think that reporters when they graduate from school with their degree in Journalism must all have been to required to pass courses titled "How to ask the dumbest questions possible 101"

 

Rumor is the NFL is considering adding another team to the playoffs on each side due to the playoff implications of cancelling the Bills/Bengals game.

Probably. But, I mean, it would basically mean my team wins and they're in so I'm not complaining. But also, that game had potential playoff implications.

 

Game is canceled. The only thing impacted is hosting for AFC championship or wild card game. No extra teams.

 

Bengals got fucked over in that one because they now lose their shot at the #1 seed.

So the Bills and Bengals don’t get the opportunity to affect their percentage outside of Week 18…which benefits the Ravens, Patriots, Chiefs, and Bills and doesn’t benefit Cincinnati.

 

Yep, Cincy is hurt for not playing the game. No decision other than playing it will help the bengals.
