    my dad did shift work for years. he was surprised too how easily he adjusted to a daytime only job. his shift schedule was 5 days day shift, 5 days afternoon shift, 5 days of graveyard and then 5 days off - so working 15 days straight with an 8 hour change every 5 days. i don't know how he did it. good thing my brother and i were happy playing legos and barbie for hours on end when he was on graveyard :laugh:
    as close as i can relate is that now that i've been working a 4/10 schedule for the last couple of years i have no idea how i will ever go back to a 5/8 schedule

    4/10’s is the perfect shift to me! me,im working 12’s. pretty simple. M,T,Fri,Sat,Sun one week. and Wed,Thurs the next. it just keeps on like that.

    I think I’m heading to Long Island again around the 20th. I always try to make it back to the valley but more times than not I end up having to stop before I get there. I usually don’t even book a hotel ahead of time because I don’t know what I might run into. But on the two leg return trips I have started staying at that Hampton Inn.

    I did I went up about Churchville and took what my phone was calling scenic Hwy. It looks like it gets pretty twisty on up a ways if you stay on 250.
