What makes you think the axle is over heating?

If that's truly the case- are you towing, have a heavy cap or camper, or regularly carry heavy loads in the bed? What gear oil are you running?

Who did the work to replace the seals, and how long ago was the work done? Having oil come out of the pinion seal is very uncommon. For the axle seals, it's common to install those incorrectly and have to go through a few rounds of having to replace them until you hit the sweet spot.

Toyota says 75-90 synthetic, just a slide out tool box well under the payload, work was done under a year ago, and still pushes oil out the pinion

Without knowing anything about your truck, and as it sounds like the work was done by a shop, I would suggest you take it back to them.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
If it was getting hot it would push out a clear vent tube first the path of no resistance .

Why were the axles seals changed ?

Did you check the vent yourself or were you told all was good,

Any drive line vibration? That can take out a pinion seal

I towed and was loaded heavy weekly never had issues then I seldom drove 600 miles a day .

If the axle oil is leaving out through the vent then something must be displacing it. I don't believe its caused by heat.

Did they overfill the rear axle with oil?
