    Hi,

Anyone know any good shops that can install & wire lights to a switch box in LA or OC?

Just picked up a 2023 Tacoma TRD Off Road. Have Baja Design squadron sport fogs (i already installed and hooked up to OEM fog switch), squadron pro ditch lights, and S2 pros that i’m looking to have fit flush into the rear bumper. I installed the ditch lights to caliraised brackets but they aren’t wired yet.

I just got a CaliRaised 8 Switch Panel/Switch Box and want the lights wired all to that switch panel. Only issue is the Baja Design harness already leads it to a 3 wire input switch. But i need a harness that keeps the lights on two wires (just regular pos. & neg.) so that i can hook it up to the caliraised switch panel. Having trouble finding shops willing to do this work in my area… Based in venice beach, CA but willing to take it to a shop in LA or OC.

Appreciate any input, or if one of you guys would be willing to do this for some $. Thanks

I am pretty sure your local 4 wheel parts will gladly take your money for that. Or just google for your local 4x4/offroad shop.

4WP as stated by @Primo 95, or take a look at the switches themselves.
More than likely, that extra wire is just a power wire for the switch illumination. Can you post a photo of the switch/wiring harness?

If you are using an aftermarket switch panel, you should just need the + & - wiring. Just get some same gauge wiring from Home Depot or autozone and crimp the wires together or get those DT connectors. The panel should already have the fuses and relays, but confirm that yourself.

and you could save yourself money by watching some YouTube videos… if you feel comfortable doing the install. You learn and gain some skills! No shame if you don’t want to do it.

Yup--went this route. Got a 100ft roll of 16-2 pre heat-shrunk wire. disregarded the harness BD sent me, and instead hooked up the + and - wires to 2-pin male connectors and set them up with the female connectors from the lights directly. in terms of merging them for each terminal on the 8-switch fuse box, i just cut the wrapping to expose the wires, and twisted the positives from both lights (think L+R ditch lights for example) together and the negatives in the same manner, and hooked them up to their respective terminals on the switch panel's fuse box.

Super simple, no youtube required just some basic knowledge thankfully, and saved me a few hundred in labor! Some zipties, and bam--first wiring job completed cleanly and now i understand how to do some basic wiring/create a harness

thank you guys for the input/help

If you are inclined, as someone noted, you just need the + and -, which you can run to your switch panel. I use all the harnesses but cut off the switch. If it's a Y, cut off at the end, tap that into your switch panel. once you get the switch panel set up, the rest is super easy +/- setups. Once you cut it there will be 2 wires. There are 3 wires for the power/negative and turn on to the relay, but you will cut all that off. Also, if you wire the ditch to the panel, you will only need a fraction of that harness. It's super long. When I first started, I tucked it under the panel under the wipers, but you can. shorten it. if you're up for it, it will save you a few hundred bucks. The main part for the rear will be cutting the bumper to mount the lights. the wiring would be the same + and - to the Cali raise panel.

Linked folks are solid, or befriend a TW person local to you with lunch and beer.
