100 suspension down travel droop isn't limited by shocks or torsion bars. It is limited by the upper control arm resting against the UCA frame mount. This happens on either side.

I wouldn't worry. Around here in the Ozarks, you won't be limited by terrain or having 32' tires on a Tacoma. The real limitation is having the ability to swim the Buffalo.

    Ehh..

On the plus side, everything was packaged well.

All voids filled so nothing bounced around, straps keeping everything in place, staples kept the box closed up and plastic wrap all around kept it pretty waterproof too.

    20230106_184313.jpg

There are smaller boxes inside, all labeled for ease of assembly.

    20230106_184704.jpg

After removing the gantry, you've got the remainder of the frame assembly packed below.

    20230106_184716.jpg

So here's the Crossfire in its entirety.

    20230106_185154.jpg

My THC Z-Axis upgrade kit did ship at the same time so at least I've got one of my upgrades.

    20230106_185228.jpg

The water table just shipped today but even then, I still need the XL kit to ship and deliver so I can begin assembly.

For the meanwhile I figured I'd install the Z-axis kit.

The electronics box gets opened up and the upgrade gets installed.

Shitty thing is, I seem to be missing some hardware. Two nuts and bolts really to mount this to the control box but it's all plugged and wired in now.

    20230106_192909.jpg

I'll head to Home Depot tomorrow to grab some hardware but because those were missing, I'm assuming I'm missing a cable as well.

The CUT60 comes with a CNC plug and a DVI input cable and torch signal cable get soldered to said plug. I've got the DVI input cable which just receives the divided voltage signal to tell the torch what its height should be while cutting.

I seem to be missing the TORCH ON/OFF signal cable but this is based off a user's install on the Pro table.

I'll give it until Monday to confirm if this cable is needed or not for my setup.

    EDIT:

    Correction; not missing a cable.

Apparently, the banana plug cabling is used to tap into your machine; the barrel plug I assumed I was missing is purchased separately and is used for a clean install and get all signaling from the CNC plug itself.

I feel like a diesel would be good around here for all the water crossings it's too bad we got hardly any of the Japanese oil-burners Stateside. In other countries like the Phillippines etc. hardly anyone who drives off-road has a gasser.

You can get a little deeper with a diesel I guess. Once the river goes up over 4' then the current becomes the problem and you will be washed downstream.

The current was pushing us downstream a bit at 3.75' on the St Joe meter.

Basically reiterating what some of us stated; these vehicles are easily way more capable than *most* of the people that drive them.

I fucking hate people!! Spent like all week finding clean ass Ls1 for this idiots stupid rolls royce. All I needed was him to pick up my goddamn fuel pump hydro mats. He spent 3 hrs at the location of the parts and left without them. Now I have to drive 4 hrs to get and deal with someone I don't want to deal with so I can start my damn motor. Then has the nerve start asking me questions about motor shit. Fuuuuuuucccckkkk!

I liked the water crossing btw. That was cool. That 100 sounded good.

I have done that trip like 10 times to get my shit. My whole truck is full of Holley parts. I actually time lapsed the whole trip one time. Total pain in the ass. But, I pay prices like $20 each for $180 each mats so im fucked. That's markup on holley products btw. Sad.

Up HWY 9 past Poughkeepsie. That's a hike that doesn't normally move fast.

Hey, I got their chrome version

I really dig it, and got it as part of a "travel/offroad" wrenching kit.

    Love the engagement.

Yeah, I know when it is good or not so its just can I leave or comeback at those times. I take 87 up to the exit then cross the bridge to 9 I think.

    @Kwikvette

If you run a battery cable directly from a battery positive post to a terminal block w/ 4 posts w/2awg cable (1 feeds starter, 1 alternator, 1 will feed winch) is that considered a (clean power source) free of interference from starter/alt/winch?

I heard Icon is actually made by same manufacturer as mac or matco. One of them. I think their ratchet designs are great. Just like snap on.
