MESO Puddle Light build

How often are these in stock these days?

 

I feel like it's entirely dependent upon Meso's production delivery. I chased a set for about 12 months, and they would go out of stock within a day. I think a lot of people are sitting on them because it's not the quickest install - I found the doorclips to be inconsistent on both doors and goooooooooood luck feeding the line through the doors - so I know they pop up on the marketplace quite a bit completely new from owners who chose to forgo the install.

 

Puddle lights are sometimes dim sometimes don’t come on at all. Never have a problem with the cab lights.

Any ideas where to start before I tear into the wiring?

 

I suggest unplugging from source and run a continuity check on the line.

 

Was this tail gate storage project shelved or is it just taking longer to get to market than expected? Sorry for digging up such an old post, but once I saw this, it has stuck in my head ever since and this was the only mention I ever saw of it from Meso.

In @MESO insta reels the other day, he showed a shark fin base with a wire connector for running roof rack lights. I can’t find it now, maybe he’ll see this tag and chime in here about it??

 

Yeah, looked light it was on a Tundra? Not sure if they're the same? I would think they would be

 

I’m not sure either. Guess we will see at some point. Not like I have a roof rack anyway lol

That’s already out there… he produces them for one of the roof rack makers from here. I forget who… it essentially turns the fin on its side.

Puddle light pods on my passenger side have three dead diodes:


Contacted MESO support and got a first reply from Austin, then nothing after that .

Also, does anyone else's switch does not have their backlight fully illuminated?


(This is actually quite hard to capture!)

On the photos, the right side of the logo does have the same level of illuminatiom as the left. Sent an inquiry ticket to MESO back in October 2022 but only had one response as well despite multiple follow ups.

Not sure how to go forward; CS response is very intermittent that I'm losing faith .

 

My switch has the same thing. There is a post somewhere on how to even it out by cracking it open, so it happens often enough where I think it's normal. I'll have to go do some digging and find it again when I do my own. Also, Meso's CS email responses and forum posts have been a bit slow as of late. My last ticket was open for a month and a half.

Hmm, maybe I'd finally get a replacement light pod as one of mine has completely failed.

 

Just the LED?

 

The entire circular LED array has failed; no light is coming out of the pod. The connected V5 DRLs is still getting power so I don't believe the wiring harness failed.
