I got a few pistols I wanna sell. I am insure of the correct way to go about it I unless the buyer has a CPL. I am in Michigan btw. I do prefer local. Would be we go to an FFL and pay to have a background check done ( if there is even possible ).

There are a few auctions gun broker, etc.. How do ship if I go that route? An FFL?

Is it easier to just sell on consignment through a shop? I know I will loose more if I go that route.

At least in SC, an FFL can do a background check for you if you sell private party...we offer that service here at my shop and charge $20, same as a transfer

You can ship to an FFL but many shops won't accept from non FFL so it's safer to ship via FFL. Your local shop should gladly help you with that.

Consignment is super easy but shop around because different shops take different percentages.

If I'm doing a private sale here in SC, I just sell it to them. Lol

Yep, I’ve never done a transfer in a private sale, granted it’s been years since I did one. I do with all the new rules if it’s required now or not

Do you have a brick and mortar store (if so where) or is it online? I ask as I traverse SC a bunch on my way back up to my cabin in NC.
I am a big supporter of local business, and don’t buy stuff off the net. To say I am old school is putting it lightly.
There is always something on my want list and check back with my shops on the regular.
    Let me know

Heading to the range in a bit. MP5 22LR and SBR loaded in another case.

Noticeable reduction in blowback on my suppressed SBR with the Geisselle Super Charging Handle. I love shooting that Dan Wesson Valkyrie 9mm. So smooth and natural feeling. Not bad for irons and a blurry front sight post at 25M. A few flyers with the 5 shot groups.

Sig45, that is hella good shooting at 25m or 82 feet with a handgun. For my CCW qualification one of the targets was at 75’, 5 of 6 shots had to be within the 7 ring (iron sites) and for me that was the toughest part of qualification. Damn fine shooting sir.

Thank you. What size target for your qualification? That seems far for a CCW permit/qualification. Way back, mine was 7 yards on a standard silhouette target, with all shots in the black (7 ring). It may have changed. Interesting how things vary state by state.
