You have to ask most butchers. Round cap and other names. Google it a bit

Our beef co-op sells it from two ranches. But when we lived in Duvall, I could order it from store butcher.

I had unique experience the other night waiting for the grill to heat up... The grill turned into a fire pit and my beer froze...

Try a picanha with a very thick fat cap on dirty grill.

Cross between Towering Inferno, Up In Smoke and Blazing Saddles while I put it out with meat dripping running fat on clean concrete.

TBH a fire pit is welcomed right now  The snow has melted from when I took this photo but we've had some silly low temps, I've recently resorted to keeping my beer on top of the grill to stop it from freezing.

EDIT: location… Bend, OR. Not HI :)

A and D? I clean the grates after every use with a simple wire brushing. But admittedly the rest of my grill is neglected.

Is that Hawaii and at what elevation? I knew some of the volcano tops would get snow, but I haven’t heard of snow at the lower elevations

I quit doing them in my kettle for that reason. The firebox on my pit can handle it, but I don’t like babysitting grease fires in the Weber

    Does it remove the flavor?

There’s potential for wires to break off and lodge in remaining creosote or grease. When you cook again, you might find them lodged in your food and eventually in your colon.

Ha, no it’s not Hawaii, Bend OR.

Useless fact of the day… there are no travel trailers roaming the Hawaiian islands.

However we do get snow when storms roll through at higher elevations, everyone heads up and fills their taco bed with snow and take it home o_O

Talking of grill cleaning I need to do the strip down clean and buy a new grill scraper. Thinking of going the wooden route…
